Most impressively, Jackson didn’t have a ton of money or experience as an entrepreneur. He started his cleaning service business with less than $1,000 and learned how to run it as he grew. In this interview, he’ll share what he’s learned in the process of starting a cleaning business from scratch, including the mistakes he’s made along the way and the lessons he learned from them.

Mt. Baker’s growth really took off when Jackson stepped back from the day-to-day cleaning business and embraced his role as the CEO. He’ll talk about how he made that shift, where he finds high-quality team members, and how developed the training and other systems that set his employees and the business up for success. Along with this, he’ll talk about the advertising strategies he uses to keep his customer base growing, the role that coaching has played in his growth, and how he keeps himself pushing forward when things get tough.

If you want to know how to start a cleaning business step by step, Jackson is a great knowledge resource for you to take advantage of! Don’t forget to watch these other interviews with cleaning business owners before you go:

  1. Alright, I’m beginning to think UpFlip is based out of Bham. Trying to come up with something after losing my job during Covid but keep seeing these startups in the same community from this channel is challenging

  2. Way harder than it looks, should have asked him how he gets repeat business. The problem i have faced with this business is after we clean your home it stays clean for years. Its not like lawn care where you come out every week. Do a video more on marketing. Doing the work is not the problem when starting a business, getting leads is harder than this guy make it look like. We are glorified bleach sprayers thats it
