I feel like all the people who live on the golf course when I go golfing, rethink their living location.
What if you built a base up on one of those ridges, a cabin and stuff, and then zipline up to it, I think you can go up ziplines, been watching a group play and I am fairly sure they went up the zipline. so make a base up there, zip up there, fly around to scout, then land, zip back down and go where you scouted. something like that, any way. not sure if it is a good idea, or a bad idea. at this stage it is AN idea. might need some adjustments to work… but that is why I share, let others run with it and see what unfolds.
I took a shot every time he said golf course. I'm dead.
There are at least 11 hang glider spawn locations that have been found so far. If you dive toward the ground you will gain a lot of speed. If you climb back up steeply you will gain back all the altitude you lost and usually a little more. This is not the way physics really works but it works in the game.
@Z1 totally should sled down that mountain when you get a chance… next time don't forget the sticks to save! 😆🤣😆
At the moment, the hang glider is NOT using any type of physics or flight models to "fly". It's not flying at all. It's simply moving forward at a specific speed depending on the angle of attack. If you angle down you will descend and gain speed. If you angel up you will ascend until you lose all speed. There is no map invisible wall. This world is infinitely large, and infinitely blank. It has no other terrain in it except for the island. You can fly until the island disappears behind you.
You can fly with the GPS in your hand if you take off with it already in your hand, but it goes wonky in the air. It shows your position but it's orientation to the map is completely random.
Remember; the millionaire and his family you are searching for came to the island to build a luxury resort. It's not so surprising that there's a golf course.
You should try holding your sled then grabbing the hang glider and see if you can do a transformer type deal and use both haha

FYI, you don't need two sticks to make a tent to save, you only need one corner and you're able to save.

Yes, there is a buried maintenance room on the golf course where you found those golf carts. The hang glider is fun to use.
We need a good vid of base building please. You need alot of sticks. If you were to add more posts to your fence in the water you could join it up to your base and have a secure sections with all your storage
If you take down your door at the base and then finish the palisade walls, then approach the wall with a log and it'll make a gate. Personally I'd set up stick spikes all around the perimeter.
