More findings of ancient weapons have been unearthed from a burial pit near the Emperor Qinshihuang’s Mausoleum in northwest China’s Shaanxi Province, according to the head of the archeological team, adding many of which have offered new clues for solving historical puzzles.

The discovery was made during a major excavation that started in 2009, the third of its kind at Pit No.1, carried out in an area of about 430 square meters.

  8. That should be considered one of the wonders of the world. Think of it: an entire army down there, with horses; all made with such intricate detail. It's almost as though they were asleep down there, waiting until they were needed again. Wow.

  12. the terra cotta warriors is one of the more interesting ancient civilization things in China that has always amazed me. Also the lake of mercury protecting an ancient tomb (i forget where this is) is something of amazement to me. How a civilization can know about something as rare as mercury that many years ago is breathtaking.😉😎

I love Chinese History I was given a book in1978 called Chinese Exhibition which I cherish .Malcom Fraser stated The generosity by the Chinese Government and the spirit in which these treasures were offered is fair evidence of the relationship that is developing between both Countries at all levels This magnificent display Chinese Exhibition is a most significant achievement in cultural exchange programme between Australia and China
