  1. Honestly…Having never played the last of us video game…I don't see myself picking up the PC version coming up over RE4 because this show was boring and a drama with not mant "zombies"

  2. Just a heads up. The last 10min of this video spoil an important plot in part 2. If you or someone with you don't know about part 2 story then you might want to close the video at around 35 min mark.

  3. The best now with all the complaints about how Season 1 of Part 1's story was rushed … Neil Druckmann has stated, that The Last Of Us Part 2 story will be extended to multiple seasons, so instead of having multiple seasons based on the Part 1 story (which is loved worldwide by fans) … Druckmann will force Part 2 story down peoples throats for multiple seasons (the story that has caused so much backlash & hate amongst the fans) … I am sure this decision will not cause any issues for HBO at all 😂

  4. If they added a bunch of bonding scenes people would complain that its just filler. You can see the bond that has formed in the scenes we did get, is more really necessary? I think this is more that you don't want the show to end because most of it has been really good up to this point.

  5. Joel overall felt very soft and weak, except for that torture scene but other than that they just made him cool only in the essential scenes, and almost hopeless in the rest fo scenes he appeared in.

  6. I think in the TV series, Ellie's motivation is more with she doesn't want to experience loss (or others experience loss) from the infection, such as her mum, Tess, Sam, Henry and Sarah. Still works, but I agree it makes the world-building side of things less dangerous compared to the games

  7. Of course last of us 2 is 2 season and last of us 1 season long. Last of us 2 is much longer game than last od us 1. It is quite simple, right? Anyway i can not wait see last of us 2 season 2. As a game last of us 2 was so much better compare to last of us 1.

  8. I found it interesting the differences I felt between this Joel and game Joel. In the game, it felt like he cared for her, and while yes, the parallels between Ellie and his daughter it seemed like he had them separated in his mind. In the show, it really felt like Ellie was directly replacing his daughter. The way he spoke, and the way he acted, gave me like creepy feelings. It was weird, I agreed with game Joel for the most part, but didn't feel the same about show Joel. I cannot say if it's good or bad, or if it's due to the pacing of the show and needing to show Joel's emotions differently. I loved the episode and the series as a whole. But it was really interesting the emotions that it brought up regarding the character.

  9. The Show does make a point twice make a point that there is no cure for fungus. opening to episode 1 and 2 say there is no hope for a cure. two experts say fungus will wipe us out. so Joel ain't the bad guy the show says killing Ellie is gonna be fruitless.

  10. Oh boy
Can’t wait for the second season, the golf gameplay in the second game was sooooooo good, you guys are gonna love this character they add too

I’m joking. I really fucking hope they don’t pull the same bullshit they did with the second game with the second season.
    Fuck.

  11. Here's my opinion on the ending. Ellie wasn't given a choice by the fireflies or Joel. One side wanted to sacrifice her for what they believed to be the greater good and the other didn't. Marlene assumed Ellie would've given her life but she didn't ask her. That shows there was still some doubt about whether or not Ellie would cooperate. I believe the fireflies DID know who Joel and Ellie were when they captured them and they made sure they knocked JOEL out to ensure he wouldn't interfere before they could begin the surgery. I also believe this is why Marlene was already in the room with him waiting for him to wake up so she could convince him they were doing the right thing and possibly stall for more time. Marlene could've easily explained the situation to Ellie AND Joel allowing Ellie to ACTUALLY make a choice, possibly convince Joel and say goodbye to him. The fireflies were being selfish and trying to force their agenda no matter what. Marlene forced Joel's hand in my opinion. She knew what type of man he was yet she chose to make an enemy out of him. I believe Joel had multiple reasons for saving Ellie as well. Most would say it was just selfishness but I disagree. Joel loved her and didn't want to lose another daughter. That part is clear but I also believe he saved her simply because her life meant more than anything to him. Her life meant more to him than potentially finding a cure that probably would've been fought over and unfairly distributed. Joel simply wanted Ellie to live. Not just for him but for herself. He wanted her to experience new things and see glimpses of the beauty that was seemingly lost in the old world. He wanted her to love and be loved by others. To live a full life without survivors guilt. Joel wanted Ellie to see that her life was worth much more than just being a test subject so he made his choice. I believe he lied to her to protect her from any guilt in hopes she would move on from it. Joel chose to shoulder that burden himself. He made his choice and he lived with it. For that I respect it.

  12. I doubt they knew Ellie was immune until after the Left Behind incident. Anna lied to Marlene about the bite/umbilical cord part.
Meaning Marlene really did keep Ellie alive because of her relationship with Anna.

  13. As someone who didn't play the game, I think it ended perfectly. It made me reflect on the extents that one would go to protect a loved one. It definitely felt real short though and after hearing the spoilers for the second season, I don't think I need to watch anymore. I think I'd rather play the first game now than watch any more of the show because sometimes it's better not to know what happens after the end. I love these kinds of ending. Inception is my favorite movie for that reason. The end that leaves you hanging and wondering is better because it invites you to take part of the character with you as you keep living your own life. Man, HBO really has been on point with their shows since the Game of Thrones ending fiasco. I loved watching this show.

  14. It's so hard to rate the series if you played the game. To me, the series was disappointing, but for somebody that never played the game or new about the story it may have been a masterpiece.

  15. It would've been great if they had the infection battle etc and were captured to end the episode and then an episode 10 had been the entire explanation, decision, and escape. It's SO good though, just might have stretched this ending out more.

As a series I do think 9/10. 4&5 weren't "bad", still very good tv and even 7 was so good while a weaker episode. 8 is a little low for me, gotta say this shows problems are that there's not enough of it 😊👍

  16. The relationship between Bill and Frank had more time invested 😀 I personally did like that Episode, but should you not focus on the bonding of the Main characters?

  17. It's so weird to me that the writers and show runners don't see to understand all the ambiguities and cynical objections to their own story. Watching the behind the scenes bit, it seems like they all think Joel is %100 wrong. And they took out a lot of those ambiguities from the games that you guys are bringing up from the show. Just makes it all so much less impactful and interesting. I would give it a 6 or 7 out of ten.

  18. Simply the best video game to live action game adaptation ever.

I've played LOU 1 3x (each PS system). Played LOU 2 1×. I didn't like what happened to one character (No Spoilers) but the game was amazing.

This season should have been two seasons. I, however, still was in awe.

    Amazing
    9/10

  19. We got to spend more time with Ellie during the game so we got a better understanding of Ellie’s willingness to die if it meant finding a cure.

The show doesn’t really give the viewers that motive, so Joel’s betrayal did feel that dishonest.

  20. Why do you think they skipped the underground sub sections. We only really got those 2 clickers in the museum, no more intense stealth scenes.

And why set up that infected network system that was only really shown towards Tess’s end.

  21. My issue with the show is that they put almost no emphasis on Joel and Ellie's relationship. It was the entire point of the game, he helped her grow into a strong and capable survivalist and she helped him grow and heal and learn to be vulnerable again. And they pretty much just removed that entirely. Joel was no the cold and distant man that he was in the game, he still had a healthy relationship with his brother, still was emotionally available enough that he cried in front of his brother etc. And Ellie was disrespectful of Joel from the get go so I find it really hard that he came to love her and she was also shown as incredibly capable from the get go so there was very little innocence hardened by experience for her. All in all I really think this show failed because I find the execution of the core relationship totally lacking.

  22. I would be shocked if they dive directly into the events of part 2 like they did in the game. In a perfect world they would take their time and even use missing scenes as flashbacks while ellie isnt talking to him. But, neil druckman is gonna neil druckman.
