I know this unrelated but I just came across a glitch where my large refiner is eating my stuff. I submitted a claim, but wondering if I'm alone on this
I hope you are loving this expedition because I am! This is a nice calm expedition compared to that last one, and the rewards are pretty awesome as well.

If you scrap all the ships in the twitch drops you will get about 230 million units and 11k nanites.
There is the option of claiming reward ships in the nexus and scrap them. Just bare in mind you can only claim the reward ships once per save so only do this if you do not want to keep the save after the expedition.
This was a pirate expedition. If you go to pirate system you will be set. First, no sentinels to interfere. Only in regular systems. Reputation loss will matter if you want to keep save. Second, destroy every pod and freighter pod. Then warp to regular system to sell looted items at huge mark up. I made 30mil easy on 1 system. Third, as you destroy stuff enemy pirates will appear to satisfy the destroy pirates step. Make enough credits to do Jason's scrap ship trick for nanites to buy your squadron. Pirating made this expedition fun.

do you know when they are going to add all the construction related contents to the normal mode?
In the starter system there's an aggressive sentinel planet with low atmosphere. First thing I did was just farm gav balls for the first 30 or 40 minutes. I was pretty much set for the remainder of the expedition.
Oxygen + Chlorine + Refiner Rooms = My Go To 👍

Another reason for di-hydrogen is for making frigate fuel because you will need to send frigates on 8 missions to finish the expedition so need lots of Di-hydrogen for that.
I still went the path of making a ton of cobalt and cheesing the economy but your way looks more fun lol
Attacking freighters is much easier if you take out the guns first. Also, when you attack a freighter in a pirate system, the sentinals don't defend it.

Is it worthwhile continuing to play the expedition game after it's done vs. a game that's a few hours in? I mean, does having this freighter screw things up vs. trying to find a new S class freighter for free from a new game?
You can get a living frigate during the expedition if you get lucky on the mission for the dream aerial… got mine on the 3rd mission.
before you attack the freighter call in the anolomy so you can dive in it once the mission is completed or if you take too much damage

Can you raise the class of your frigates?
I got a supreme scanner that had Animal, plant & minerals. NEVER had a mineral boost on a scanner before. D:
Took me 2 whole hours of jumping around on the galaxy map to find a pirate system 😂😂
Once you get the singularity engine you can pick a delivery mission and reset it every jump (costs 6 cobalt per jump) it will duplicate the items you are supposed to deliver (for example first spa n relics)
I'm not able to get the pirate missions for the hooded helmet to trigger
The solar ship event wont happen I've been trying for 2 days warping from planet to planet in ever system even trying with anomaly detector for like 5 hrs in every race and multiple different conflicts with no luck does rng hate me or is it because of expedition any help would be appreciated

I have to ask, were you never tempted to buy a better ship during this expedition? I groaned aloud at the idea of fighting pirates without a fighter plus upgraded guns etc! You are a better man than I am! 🫢🙀🤣
