  1. People always wonder why a majority of people quit mmos immediately. Its almost like by having hundreds of unexplained hidden mechanics and no direction towards proper gear or an explanation to how dungeons and shit work kills off peoples vibe. you dont need your hand held but i shouldnt have to watch 20 youtube videos and still say I have no idea what the fuck is going on

  2. The most important tip not here: if you can see a red line on the ground around you (a circle, a rectangle or whatever other shape) – move the heck out of it! Or roll out (dodge), if you don't have time to walk.

  3. I don't get the "profession" abilities. I never seem to get the "activate" part of the spell. I play guardian, for example, and I only get the burn if I activate spear of justice, never the actual spear :/

  4. I'm new to the game and it's honestly faster to ask "please res" cause I don't have a mount and world bosses are always dead before I can reach them from the waypoint. Had a temporary mount, but I've already lost it. As far as making money, at level 30 something I've already vendored my gear. I need a trading post guide cause I find it confusing to navigate. I know I've been struggling to stick to the game cause people aren't really helpful, at least in my experience everyone just bullshits around in the chat. Only help I've gotten was one person helping me understand how to improve the performance from my PC and I'm thankful for that, but most of the time I'm ignored. Granted I don't talk much when I'm just trying to experience the msq (main story quests) and I was doing the heart rep quests cause they give good XP and it's the only thing I know to do to level up for the next main story. I'm used to FFXIV where there's a main story quest every single level, so admittedly I'm very lost in GW2 and I just do whatever I can find to level up. So far the biggest struggle is that I need a permanent mount and idk how to get one and idk how the trading post works because the UI for it is a confusing mess

  5. This game feels a little intimidating coming back after 8 years. I have no idea what to do. My character is lvl 71. Last time I used this thing for gear and my gm from wow got pissed I used it at such a low level.

  6. Been wanting to get into guild wars 2. I do like games when leveling means something, though. The idea where if you go where you're not supposed to be too early, you get squashed by terrifying demon creatures

  7. As a new player who started 2 weeks ago, I finished World Completion and I just now started Heart of Thorns. I have to say, I am almost burned out already, and I am aware I haven't even scratched the surface. I feel like there is too much to do at this point, and this is one of those mmos that don't let you skip 11 years of content. I am loving the game, but like I said, I already feel burned out. I used to log on it daily, now it's every other day, and with much less enthusiasm.
