  1. Palworld looks really interesting, it looks like something I could get in too, it matches my 2 favourite genres together, third person shooter and action RPG, throw in some monster taming aspects in here and this will definitely end up on my top 10’s list, can't wait to play this one of my PC.

  2. I never thought about the dark side of the monster taming world where you have to do some bad stuff like using your monsters as weapons or shields or fighting dangerous criminals that can and will kill you. Palworld got my interest, even if this is an unofficial "Pokémon Gun version" most people are looking for.

  3. I just want to know if the game is even real. There hasn't been any actual gameplay footage and I don't really trust the footage that they post on Twitter just yet 🤷‍♂️

  4. I Feel Like That Saying That "It's A Parody!" Isn't A Good Excuse For The Ripoff Pokemon Designs. A Very Important Part Of Any Monster Tamer Are The Monsters Themselves. It's One Of The Main Reasons Why Pokemon Is As Popular As It Is. It Has An All-Star Roster With Unique Monsters That Break Traditional Norms. Many Indie Devs Ignore This And End Up With A Forgettable Roster With Generic Ideas That Have Been Done To Death(I.E TemTem, Nexomon, Coromon Ect.) Palworlds Roster Is Literally Flooded With Carbon Copies Of Existing Pokemon. And Before You Type "Uhhh But Pokemon Copied Dragon Quest!1" Ken Sugimori's Style Is Way Different From The Dragon Quest Art Style. Even If Many Ideas Overlap, The Monsters Still Look Unique From Each Other. Pokemon To Dragon Quest Is Inspiration, Palworld To Pokemon Is Plagiarism. Jetragon Is Just Salamence, Daedraem Is Just Mismagius, Boltmane Is Just Luxaray, Lyleen Is Just Lillygant, Loveander Is Literally Loveander, Pretty Sure I Saw Natu And Toxitricity Clones In There As Well. And It's Not Like They Don't Have The Capabilities Of Designing Good Monsters Like, Mossanda, The Candle Lion And The Sheep. But They Choose To Make B-Tech Pokemon Designs.

FYI Palworld Seriously Needs To Hire Better Designers.

  5. great video and I'm looking forward to this game. the issue with the guns isn't that they look too real, I think its far more that they don't match the art direction of the characters. To be honest the whole game has multiple sections that give me asset pack vibes; hopefully they give everything a second pass to keep the art direction united 🙏

  6. I'm looking forward mainly to the challenge of it, plus all the beautifully designed 'mons. While the idea of being evil or at least amoral is interesting, I'll probably still play pretty straight laced and good. Still, it's nice to have the option to operate as truly criminal scum or simply someone who'll operate in the gray areas between if the price is right and the cause good enough.

  7. personally this game just has a lot of things I've wanted to see from other games i like; having your pals help you with thing like fire types cooking and water types tending to crops is something I've wanted from Rune Factory but like all animals you befriend do like the same three tasks.
I wanted a game where you could fight alongside your monsters in creative ways but most monster taming games have them as glorified basic attacks like the Spectrobes Wii game let you fight alongside them but all you did was say 'Attack' or 'Special attack' you couldn't have them cover you or lay down suppressing attacks or anything.
I could go on but the short version is Palworld looks like it combines a lot of my favorite genres and adds a lot of little features I've always wanted to see from said genres in a big open world with lots of critters to befriend and guns to shoot cause like oddly enough thats something else I want like in skyrim and fallout if theres a mod that lets me catch beasts and make them fight for me Its always in my load order.

  8. I am super excited for Palworld. I find the goofiness endearing, the graphics look great, and the creature designs are cool to look at (even the Pokemon-similar ones lol). In addition, I like shooters fine, and it has my usual favorite mechanics like farming/raising.

And honestly, the option to dabble in moral ambiguity is interesting and sorely missed in the monster taming space when it's been outwardly avoided in other games. Tbh I will likely be a day-one player!

  10. I'm not really a fan of First Person Shooter-Games. But Palworld looks really interesting and I could imagine me trying it out! I hope it comes to the switch at some point!

  11. Seems like I still do not enough on those platforms, what was that list or where did you get thet most wishlisted info?

Well what do I look foward too.

I love the little things and honestly always wanted something else in a story like getting the option of being on team evil.
With little things I mean, well if I think about it now I hope to be able to have many ways to interact with the monsters or stuff to achive.

I was interessted about some of the designs combined with the fact to be able to eat them, pet them, give them task like including them in your farming maybe?, also just the fact that it is getting kinda serious here and there.

Using them as shields not sure if that will be my actions but stuff like that was pretty interessting to see.
Just seems like a good game to immerse yourself in, maybe use your fantasy a bit depending on where the game shows you your limits.
Not sure if it will be multiplayer either.

That's what I can quickly think of. Honestly I just want to collect something like Broncherry and keep it as a pet.

edit: Ah yes, I rarely get to play those, but having another somewhat shooter after a long time might be an interessting change.

  12. Maybe that's not taken seriously, but while I have my own ideas, I wanted to hear what's with the mentioning of those super supporters all the time?
Can't go much further than imaging it's because it feels good to them.

  13. It looks pretty, I love seeing characters pet the pals. I wonder how in depth the good/evil system is. I'm not if I'll play it or not. It may depend on if I can turn off the gun sounds. That tends to give me a headache so I don't usually play stuff with that kind of sound effect unless I want to play it with all sound effects turned off. Maybe someone will mod it.

  14. For me, Palworld puts me in mind of the lost kingdoms / rune series for the gamecube. A third person action mon-tamer, where the mons serve as bodyguards, weapons, transports and puzzle pieces. It also had an emphasis on exploration, where you'd be rewarded for exploration by getting more monsters to use. And it had a darker tone than the average mon-tamer, with monsters being used for warfare by different nations. Kind of the 'dark souls of mon-tamers', particularly since it was from the same devs who did dark souls. From-Soft don’t look set to continue that series anytime soon though, so I guess an indie dev is my next best choice.

The only other mon-tamer that comes close is maybe adore, but that’s an isometric roguelike. I want something that’s a little less arcadey and more completionist friendly, where I can take my time catching each and every pal for my collection.

  15. Palworld feels different and genre changing. It will open the door for further artistic exploration and design. It is cute but gritty and dark which is an esthetic I have always been drawn to. I have always wanted a Diablo style arpg that is darker and grimmer in feel and execution, but with Power Puff Girl style art (if this helps set the tonal reason I am interested.)

  16. the realistic guns and goofy pokemon is SUCH a gap that it makes REALLY funny to me. I've been avoiding looking too much into it because I'm already sold on it and want to be surprised!

  17. i am looking forward to being able to see how the pales really live in the world and use the weaker one to do chores and tasks for me, as well as all the new and interesting creature designs.
