  1. I bought an Oculus for the sole purpose of playing RE4 VR. It was absolutely worth it, and everything else is just a bonus. I became a bumbling idiot the first time Dr. Salvador came at me in first person. 100% recommend.

  2. The merchant and the Duke are the best RE characters lol. You come to love them because they are like bonfires in the DS games. A brief chance to strategize and upgrade and clear bag space. To bad they didnt release the Merchant Back Pack costume haha the next RE game needs this! Make it happen Capcom!

  3. Hi all!

As many people have pointed out in the comments, I made a rookie mistake in the writing of this and you're all correct – the origin of Dr Salvador's name is in the bottlecaps of RE4 and not, as implied, by a more communal thing amongst fans. Wires crossed there and that's on me! I should've leaned more into the fact that that, along with Don Jose, Don Manuel etc as the villagers, are considered non-canon names as that's not how they're referred to in Japan and appear to have been picked by the localisation team. Remains to be seen if Capcom "corrects" this for the remake or rolls on with it.

This video was a massive labour of love for me so otherwise I'm so glad people seem to be enjoying it! How excited are we for the remake?? 🤩

  4. I appreciate the use of my clips in the video. ^^
Though a slight correction: Pausing has nothing to do with surviving the chainsaw attack, as it is a glitch tied to the variable framerate, as explained in my most recent upload.

  5. I remember when Capcom made the deal with Nintendo for exclusives on GameCube. Shinji Mikami was going to remake RE1 and he was going to make the all new RE4 while they finished RE0 to be moved up from N64 to GameCube. When they showed the RE1 remake I nearly pooped my pants from the screenshots, to this day I don’t think a game’s graphics have blown me away quite like that. It was a full blown Resident Evil renaissance! Especially when 4 came out, as it changed the face of gaming forever!

  6. Any GPU below 3090 is pretty much considered low budget and heavily obsolete at this point. A 3080 can barely max out games at 1440p to even run at 60 fps and pretty soon it can barely handle 1080p 60 fps. 12 GB of VRAM is a complete joke now. Forget 4K gaming with any card under 3090 and same can be said for 1440p. You need to buy the latest card every year to keep up. This game and Dead Space proves my point. Look how stuttery Dead Space is on any card below 3090. This wasnt the case 5+ years ago. Anything under 24 GB of VRAM just wont cut it anymore.

  7. Holy hell mind blown on the Matilda pistol name being a reference to The Professional!! I love RE 4 and that movie. I don't know how I never made that connection or saw it on any other RE fact video.

  8. For the record the best zombies ever are from red dead redemption undead nightmare. You actually had to do headshots. I can't think of another game off hand that had that.
