Oh no, another cheap game for hundreds of hours of unlimited fun?
The power ups show up in the bottom right when you get em. I know you have no time to read em, but the one that makes you yellow is invincibility.
Looks interesting, but that radar sweep Gunlock weapon would drive me nuts. Feels incredibly restricting and slow.
Hey Retro! Thanks for playing my little game. You weren't too lucky with upgrade choices in your 2nd run but glad you stuck with it. There are some really broken builds with different synergies that don't involve the Gunlock, but I knew the titular weapon needed to feel strong, and next week I'll be adding more weapons and utilities that synergize with the railgun.

This game feels like a de-twin stick shooterified Nova Drift which I kinda appreciate to be honest. I have lots of fun playing Vampire Survivors and when I first saw Nova Drift I first thought it was kinda like VS but then I read on its Steam page that it was a twin stick shooter, I kinda lost interest as I really liked the auto-shooter mechanic of VS 😢
It seems that magnet is an utility and you can have only 4 of those, so you couldnt get the magnet anymore.

Looks pretty cool and I did wonder why you didn't initiate the radar sweep at the start lol. You played fine and did the normal strat of playing a new game, experiment and try new things. Sure the mine was bad at lvl.1 because it didn't kill in 1 hit but if any upgrade would up the damage it's suddenly good.

I jumped here and there in the video. In vampire survivors it’s cool because there is a time limit and also you spam weapons by the end. Here it is very slow paced and weapons are quite limited in firepower though the boss enemies are interesting. In a shump also you spam out huge weapon bullets or lasers. In nova drift you also spam out huge powerful weapons. Here weapons look very weak. I wished the weapons looked more powerful. It looks like there is more skillful dodging than vampire survivors.
I like the idea of a Shmup + Vampire Survivors style game. There is also a similar game with those concepts called Starmech if you were interested. I am glad this genre is taking off.
