12.12’s introduction of Lighthouse gave us some new ways to gain scav karma, as well as an introduction of some new bugs. This guide goes into the ways to gain and lose karma, the bonuses and penalties, and the fastest way to get to max rep.

9:13 I think they fixed this bug/feature. AI Scavs no longer shoot you if you attack Raiders or Rogues, at least in my experience.

3.26 now.. getting there.. i rarely shoot as a scav even if it means losing my loot as killing would mean losing rep which is worth 3 runs to 10 runs depending on scav. Time wasted is far more important than loot.. Killed by mistake at start of wipe but now I am used to not shooting.. Once killed 2 player scavs who attacked me and killed my teammate to gain 0.03 rep. I spawn with pretty good gear and sometimes I look like a PMC cause of the gear. Best gear I have spawned with would be moonshine, military cable, SV98 with a flir on top, M700 and TAC30 (back to back 2 runs) and ofcourse lab keycards and 45k to 50k roubles. New player so I am learning maps as a scav mostly. I had 8 junk boxes full by the time I hit level 15. I breeze through most find in raid tasks as I mostly have them in the junk boxes.
What I am excited for level 6 would be to buy all the insured ammo as ammo has been a issue to collect due to my low level and low trader rep. With a stash value of around 70mill now and 12mill liquid I can buy any gun for PMC run but no access to good ammo. So I mostly use RFB, Vector, SA58 with M80 and BP with AK74 for now.
Can the peoples watching this video comment the best times to cheese the SCAV + PMC extract for each map. (Tip: Both you and your friend select 1 server that has low pop)

I don't know if this is a bug but I've lost up to .30 scav rep most common one is .11 for killing other scav players, that I was forced to kill because they tried to kill me and missed every shot

.61 grind from survived Scav raids.
.05 total from all other sources. The bounty system has never worked. I've been the only survivor of a Factory scav massacre where I put two PMCs down. .03 total rep gain from two PMCs that I watched gun down 4 scavs before running from Tagilla. I verified their bodies and took their tags. I was listed as the killer. Still only got Scav karma credit for killing one of them and none for bounties.
I have not received a single positive rep benefit for killing a PMC this wipe, including killing a PMC that had just killed Shturman and his guards. I was bummed, thinking that was going to be a big boost.
I hope BSG adds something to know "bad scavs" I'm tired of looting a weapon crate on factory and getting my head blown off,

Awesome video! 1 Note that I noticed Scavving on Reserve, you can ALWAYS take the Hermetic Door even if it is not listed, as a scav. So even if you only have train, or scavlands or whatnot…you can always hit the switch and take Hermetic.
I swear I gained rep today in a raid by (admittedly) opening fire without IFF and killing someone, and the rep gained was "TRAITOR SCAV KILL", or something along those lines.
I'm at 6.64 Fence rep at the moment and I find I load in with a grenade every single match now, sometimes two of them. I've played way more raids as a Scav than as my PMC. I have level 42 Endurance on my Scav and level 7 Endurance on my PMC. My overall level on my PMC is 34, so I've definitely done a lot of runs on my PMC as well but yeah.
Also I believe the rep lost for killing a Boss Guard varies. I lost .45 when killing a boss guard on Woods recently. Maybe it varies between .45 and .6? This happened just three days ago anyways and it definitely was not Shturman. ( The guard was crouched walking quite a ways away from Sawmill, confused the hell out of me. )
I was also above max rep at that point, so I'm not sure about that 10x rep bonus loss you're referencing. It might just be a bug?

Or you could be a psychopath like me and extract factory on cooldown almost 400 times. You find pmcs about 1 in every 4 raids.
i got over 6.00 rep today and then at 6.15 thought i saw a pmc so shot him and turns out it was a player scav that killed the pmc 🙁 lol
The bit about losing 10x rep once you're at 6.0 is not true from my personal experiences within the past week.
I killed a boss guard on Woods. It was 100% a guard, not Shturman or a player scav or a regular AI and I lost 0.45 reputation. I was around 6.40 at the time and ended up at just under 6.0 afterwards. I remember seeing the -0.45 loss thing and I believe I even took a screenshot of it.
edit; I've also killed several rogue player scavs, never lost rep for it. I do wait until they hit me first though. But I've killed at least five or six who I watched them kill AI scavs and then I swooped in and killed them. Didn't have any issues, always got positive karma.
edit2; also to confirm the rep you gain as a Scav when killing a PMC– it's reliant on them having killed Scavs. I've killed several PMCs on my Scav runs and been rewarded nothing as they hadn't killed scavs.
edit3; I have a screenshot of the +0.05 rep bonus for assisting bosses if you're curious.
I'm going for 6 with just the scav. 95 extracts done so far…500 to go.

I hate Santa. I killed that idiot 3 times when I was in the middle of a gunfight and he just runs around a corner into me and I blast him since I don't have time to react

Tldr if you killed santa a couple of times and you don't play 24/7 you are fucked.
I started out my adventure in tarkov just as the Christmas event hit, being new i shot everything on sight because i couldn't tell who is scav or pmc, what or why.
150 hours later i know most things about this game, and i am at -7 rep with fence i think. From what i can tell its physically impossible to recover. And my scav timer is 2 hours from what i remember.
And i doubt that they will wipe any time soon, and considering how much worth you can get out of scav runs, i am seriously considering wiping my account and restarting.

Santa has me down real bad. My friends would always accidentally shoot Santa and leave me with no choice. PMC stuff really shouldn't affect scav karma. Hope there's a redemption event soon.
Died while doing, but I did get a +.05 scav karma bonus after killing the PMC that I saw killed Tagilla. Poor guy looted the body without his buddies backing him up properly. Don’t mess with the scav army
