What is the status of terraforming technology in the post-Galactic Empire world?
This is something that's not talked about much in Rakkatan post-Infinite Empire lore.
But if Mandalore has a breathable atmosphere and water, even though polluted, then the planet might be salvaged from total destruction.
It would take the lifetimes of many Mandalorians to do it. And some might still opt to live elsewhere. But if Mandalore has the basic building blocks for new life. Then it could be better some day.
It would never be like it once had been before the many civil wars and fusion bombings by the Galactic Empire.
But it could begin to heal.
Otherwise, the Mandalorians are going to have to give up their name and blown up old world.
when 40k fans talk about exterminatus again, show them this
sooo, preety much the empire(wich was the republic) nuked the hell out of mandalore like the ancient mandalorians nuked some planets in the old republic. i guess that was payback for those times 🤣
Don't listen to it, pirate the show, Disney proved to us with Kenobi that they don't deserve our subscriptions
Honestly seeing the ruins of mandalore reminded me of how harshly the empire devastated the Mandalorians
Hot take
Grogu post S2 is the worst thing to happen to this show.
the cyborg/droid one-eye thing might be like the mandalorian version of pickle-rick, one lone scientist driven mad by the destruction and desperate to survive. perhaps it was just trying to clone Din, planning to transplant it's brain from the droid head casing.
Quil said in episode 2 in season 1i think youre people rided the great mythosaurs you can tame this smal beast i think we will see him step by step changing how he sees the creed and the storys he was told the dark saber chose him but not acepted him yet because he dident aceapt his duty as new leader of the mandolorians and lead his people into prosperty the creed holds him back so he cant wield the blade like bokatan because she renaouced the watch and chose her people than the tribe wenn he can tame the beast he will prove that he bathed in the living water like mandolre the great did and can change the watch for the time ahead and retake madolore
Conduit worms?
You know what i thought of while watching? I kept thinking about what Ullyses from New Vegas once said: "Who are you who do not know your history?"
What was robot thing ?
When l saw big creatures l die slow like what heck is that ?
This planet changes every time we see it its honestly sad how bad the mandalorians have it
They are given this awesome land that would give the garden of eden a run for its money and then war almost imeadeatly breaks out amongst the population and its eventually settled by some degree only to be thrown into another war against the jedi which leads to even more discord in the planet once their main leader is killed not only dividing the planet by tribes and most not even staying to rebuild then they're plunged into yet another which they choose not to partake in but are being forced into it by every angle and eventually completely overthrown by a vengeful sith to get rid of him they are forced to accept the clones assistance which leads to an unwanted military garrison and on that very same day get thrown into imperial control and force their own people to work against them to counter their armor involving a superweapon that can disintegrate anyone wearing beskar so ofcourse they rise up and fight but that only gets them a 1 way ticket to a litteral planet glassing where everyone is killed and their planet basically getting crystallized and forcing everyone off the planet surface
Just give these people a break
One personal hope for Mandalorian is that they have the Taung. Throughout the episode, I kept convincing myself that the Alamites or droid-thing were some sort of Cthon or Taung. I really hope they do reveal the Taung!
what was that organic droid thing?
This sadly enough is not the only horror that the Empire done, in Legends {Extended Universe}, you can find additional worlds suffered greatly by the hands of the Empire or other past wars.
And yet other times there was society issues. Good ideas that doom a world, and for example we have the world of Raxus Prime, a beautiful world of lagoons and islands that was so beautiful it served as one of three capitals of the Kingdom of Cron, an ancient kingdom. It became a hub for manufacturing and technology, and over the centuries and reaching the era of the Galactic Empire. Once a beautiful world was heavily polluted and transformed into a planet size junkyard where all junk appears to go to be recycled, like the Empire used this world as a source of resources to build their Star Destroyers.
The more you talk about the lower levels (with the nasties in the shadows), almost sounds like a Drow city!
"MY-tho-saur?" Australians gotta do everything different, huh? Even a made-up word?
i think the destruction of mandalore is very similar to tatooine mentioned in KOTOR by the tuskens, the planet was a paradise but the ratakan empire destroyed its surface, glassed the whole planet, now its a desert hell
That image of Sundari, it's either a flashback of Bo-Katan's childhood or there's going to be a time skip, showing Mandalore being restored.
Our own planet shows that it can heal itself. Look at Chernobyl. While inhospitable to humans, flore and fauna have reclaimed it.
The mythosaur, the weird morlock creatures, the dragon lizards — all point to the fact Mandalore is healing and will recover. In time.
I was interested in the allegedly wihinuta mosasaurus
Remember that you may live in the zombie infested bowels of a planet sized city… but you can always play a game of pazzak.
Seeing the Mandalore is just another confirmation for me that imperial simps are sick fucks
Sounds like Democrat run cities.
🤚😂
The real horror about Mandalore's fate is that the Empire WENT EASY on the planet. They took the effort and expense of using fusion bombs and launching a planetary invasion to mop up the survivors, leaving something to walk on, rather than simply execute a Base Delta Zero planetary bombardment and reduce Mandalore to a chunk of molten rock with no atmosphere (all blasted into space).
I believe the Empire planned to eventually restore the environment and recolonize the planet, just to prove a point and flaunt it to what Mandalorians had escaped into space, but they lost the Galactic Civil War and now they don't have the means. And maybe, just maybe, the surviving Mandalorians will be able to reclaim their world and raise the money to have the Ithorians restore it in a few centuries.
The lower levels of Coruscant remind me of "Down Below/Brown Sector" on Babylon 5, just on a much larger scale.
What about all the Mandalor arcs in Rebels? The empire tried to subjugate them before revolution and than the committed Genocide.
Can you say morlock
Taris does a great job of showing you the different levels of a city like this its so well done
Do we know what that creepy robot that captured Din is? I was so perplexed by it. Was it all droid or part organic?
R-2 fire pit is a nice touch!
So did Disney retcon the whole story about the republic glassing mandalore (which was why it is a désert with dôme cities in clone wars)? (Also this was right after the mandalorians helped the republic iirc so yeah the republic sucks)
Must be something in the water.
I thought the empire did try to subjugate them. If they weren't then what was the empire doing there in Star Wars rebels?
*The NuMandalorians got wiped out.
Me a fan of the old lore. "Lol. LMAO"
In legends Tatooine is also what remains of a planet devastated by a war.
What I want to know is what was that robot and what was it planning to do with din
