Well, I have a 2021 Ram 3500 6.7 Cummins HO experiencing excessive Regen's. Come to find out, there was a shortage on parts when they built the truck and left one sensor off the DPF. FCA reprogrammed the PCM to satisfy the EPA. Meanwhile, the dash display is lying to you. It says 0% at end of Regen. I started running a monitor plugged into the OBD port and the PCM says different. It's not completing the Regen. After the 3rd trip to dealership, they finally admitted to me today that there will be a recall this summer to reinstall the sensor and reflash the PCM. Also a second recall coming on the 5th gen for the grid heater failure.
Interested in knowing your take on what’s happening w/ these 22s. I have one of my own just curious if I should be looking to trade it in you have me concerned now.
That's to bad they sure are beautiful trucks and as well as you take care of your trucks they should be more reliable that's a bummer …I love the 2020 I get to drive she's a beast …
There's a huge flaw with the grid heaters in the new gen rams because of the placement it cause a bolt inside your intake manifold to corrode way faster than it should and so the bolt snaps and gets carried into the engine. Which of course totally wrecks the engine. Rn the best solution is replacing your oem intake horn with a banks monster ram intake. Elbow Which removes and relocates the stock grid heater so you no longer have a bolt that can corrode and fall into the engine. Here's a video explaining
Please keep posting your videos are very informative. I personally have a 2022 3500 HD and I am curious what to look for for problems. One thing I can tell you is it goes through DEF like crazy and I don't tow anything just drive back and forth to work 30 miles each way on the highway. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Dodge tells me it's normal ………
Keep cranking out the videos Paul. I’ve got a late ‘21 build date ‘22 model year that’s starting to have gremlins. Nothing more than just little pains in the ass so far but I look foreword to more info. God bless Paul and keep up with the good info
I was hoping you’d tell us the symptoms! I have 18k on a 21’, and I worry about the engine tick which I’ve heard are: lifters or the cam which will be catastrophic…it goes away as the oil gets dirty. I really love the truck and don’t want to sell it, but damn. I don’t want to have it fail on me!
feel sorry for the poor sucker they pawn this truck off on at nearly full price. They should definitely have to disclose these engine failures when selling a used truck like this that was traded in due to the issues.
Paul “ I shouldn’t be to sour I have one truck that’s made it pass 100k” 😂dude you need to be pissed these aren’t 1970’s model trucks. The price of a new work truck is unreal and with that price should realistically come with little to no major power train problems for at least 300,000 the way you highway them
What a damn shame…a brand new truck doing the same work as your last (dozen) 4th gens, but can not handle the work. I'm surely hanging onto my 2017. Newer is definitely NOT Better.
Wow Paul, everyone in this comment section knows your holding back from sharing the details of the failure's with your 2022 trucks. Might be a good time to share what you do know with us? Blessings 🙌
Paul I have been watching you for a few years. I know you’re a huge Cummins fan. You’re upset no question rightfully so however I am a Ford guy. But I appreciate all the American brands such as Ram, GM and Ford. It concerns me that such a great American manufacturer such as Ram is upsetting a loyal customer. I hope they figure it out soon.

Wonder what’s different about the 22s? Seems everything is similar from 19-23.

Thinks for letting me know what not to buy
What a surprise, a truck made during the time of extremely high anxiety and multiple doses of highly toxic and even mandatory juice for employees.
Tons of issues with my 22. Getting rid of the pos this summer.
I’ve got a 22 with Aisin. No troubles yet… but you have my attention
Very informative. Keep making videos.

Has 27k on it ,but you have me concerned!

Modern Manufacturing (especially post Covid): Price goes up, quality goes down.

I got a 2022 in July. I have 14,000 miles on it so far so hopefully everything works out continue to show us the problems and how they arise. Thanks.
We need more information I also have a 22 h.o. with 13,000 on it no issues so far but mine is a 21 build.
I have a 2012 RAM 4500 Cab & Chassis work truck. Hopefully it turns out to be decent. Currently have 202k miles on the odometer.
