  1. How can volunteers help dig out residents if only residents are allowed and a good majority are seniors that can’t climb up on their roof to shovel out 9 feet of snow??

I have an elderly friend on big bear lake that is handicapped and asked for my help but I can’t go because I’m not a resident. This is so frustrating!

  2. Wrong wrong wrong.. The goal should be getting people out of the area not keep them in.. There are reports of roof falling in, gas bursting and exploding.. It time to get people out. I rather have people out in a hotel than trying to support them behind a snow wall…geezzz!!!

  3. How many disasters, viruses, blizzards, hurricanes will it take before people start preparing for these kinds of things? Now state tax dollars have to be used to rescue these helpless people.

  4. These people live in the mountains. It snows there every year. A chance of a storm like this could happen at any time. And yet they only have granola bars to eat? They should have at least a months worth of food and water stored at all times up there. I really just don't feel sorry for stupid people.

  5. From the video picture's, the help these people need; WASN'T in the need of rescue. All that snow on the opening news piece,,, wasn't from an avalanche. It fell. A little at a time from the sky. A shovel, a little at a time motivation too physically remove it from there doorways at the very least, stores and provisions stocked up,, a ladder and roof coating squeegee too occasionally clear the rooftops and a positive attitude towards spring coming they'd have been fine. Some people are blessed with the Lions share of; the labor's of those who rightfully earned and deserve the rewards. And this is thee other side of I'll gotten rewards. Those homes,,,, cost a lot of money, unfortunately SOME of those who really earned those costs,,, we're honorably deserving but cheated suckers now under tents on the streets. Hope you, "ALL of you",,,, have a good life.

  6. When Jed asked Jethro "What happened to all the snow in California?" And Jethro said "Don't look at me, I didn't take it." 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

  7. People in these comments are ignorant and are not able to fathom the storm we had. No one was prepared for 90+ INCHES of snow to fall in a matter of DAYS. I dug out my car 4 times and it was still completely buried the final day of the storm. Please if you aren’t up here don’t talk like you could be doing better. The roads have been completely unpassable, there’s thousands of people relying on 3 grocery stores. We lost power for 5 days. A home on my street collapsed from the weight of the snow. Just stop you don’t know what we’re going through.

  9. Everyone knew for a week in advance that this storm was coming, so WHY are they out of provisions? Anyone who lives in the mountains should be prepared for these storms. No excuses. Hey, governor — WHERE'S THE NATIONAL GUARD TO HELP CLEAR THE ROADS AND RESCUE PEOPLE!

  10. Lies we are not getting the help we need. The local sheriff denied the national guard from delivering 20,000 lbs of food and suplies. Thank God for neighbors helping neighbors or this situation would be much worse.. They are also interrupting phone and wifi service to further cut us of from help loved ones…….

  13. Next time the weather report gives full advance notice take heed! Prepare for a long time being snowed in or move down to the valley until the "winter storm warning' is over. JS

  15. Mountain residents need to get to their jobs down the hill. Will they be compensated for any loss due to the highway 18 closure? Maybe a class action lawsuit would be in order

  16. Well they got another storm that is expected to drop another 4 to 5 feet of snow. That sheriff who said help is on the way, is he the one who prohibited a private helicopter company from taking food and supplies to those people up there? Whatever sheriff prohibited the rescue efforts from a private company needs to be held accountable for anyone and everyone who dies as a result. Under state of emergency, whenever lives are at risk of being lost, you allow everyone who has the ability to help to do so. The sheriff who prohibited it is a dictator playing God by putting those people's lives at risk. Someone needs to ask him what if it was him and his family stuck on that mountain in the snow without food and supplies.
