I really love Sprectrobes, one reason I buyed my NDS. While I buyed my Wii I was so hyped to see a new Spectrobes game. It would be so great to have one for the Switch. 🙂

Monster Rancher is back, so I'm satisfied so long as they keep releasing games. Medabots is the only other one I can think of, but even then I could just buy the Japanese rereleased on switch.
Spectrobes was a great IP. It was definitely under rated. It had all the amazing qualities in a monster taming game.
Does Pokemon Conquest count? Lol. I seriously need more games like that. Fae Tactics helped scratch that itch a bit but still wasn't quite what I wanted. I'd like something more like Fire Emblem (minus the waifus and over the top horniness) + Pokemon. I feel like that could be a really great combination of genres that is not explored much. Or if I'm really dreaming a combination of SMRPG or Tomato Adventure style battle system + Monster taming would get me really excited.
But idk I was kinda late to exploring Pokemon alternatives because I still love Pokemon. I think SMT and Temtem are what really got me exploring the genre outside of Pokemon although there was one Castlevania game on PS2 that was a monster tamer game that I liked as well. So I didn't really grow up with or have the opportunity to build nostalgia with other franchises. I imagine I'd most likely want to see Medabots or Jade Cocoon revived based on what I like and what they offer.
Fossil fighters absolutely needs to come back. I don’t care if it’s a collection on switch or a new game. I need it back
Speaking of DQ monsters, you should do a play through of DQ monsters joker 1&2, especially if DQ monster joker 3 is set for an English release.

4:57 While I played it myself at some point, I'm still kinda waiting for Reborn when you mentioned playing Spectrobes. I understand that being difficult if you make no progress there however. I like what you do, but for some reason this made me remember other people not really enjoying these games anymore and just starting a bunch of different onces.
From what I got to play or remember, I only think those two are important to me personally, well from those mentioned.
If Fossil Fighters and Spectrobes come back I'll give up Pokemon for a whole year!!!

Oh dang, first I'd heard of the Medabots fiasco. Loved that franchise as a kid. Hope that gets corrected ASAP.
I've actually been thinking about Medabots recently, and I would lose it if they announced a new Medabot game.

Thank you for mentioning Jade Cocoon, it was and is still one of my favourite game series of all time,right next to the Lufia series(no not the DS one).

Ahhhhhh. I love Spectrobes. Love them. Especially since I love rocks minerals and archeological digs.
Spectrobes is still such a fun game, still find myself booting it up to play every so often just to see my monster pals and battle. Jade coccoon was really unique too, it'd be awesome if they brought it back for sure.
And man DQM games really need to be officially translated and brought over here especially since they're finally rebooting ds/3ds games on the switch finally I think they'd do pretty good now that DQ has started to get more popular. There's so many good monster games that have gotten forgotten and would probably really shine now a days.

I actually found out recently that one of my favorite dqm games monster joker got a third and fourth game in Japan only I would honestly love to see the DQ monster joker games get
revived/remastered on modern consoles maybe bring an English translated version of the third and fourth games if they ever brought them back I feel like the original DQ monster joker didn't get as much attention outside of Japan but it's still a great hidden gem and I feel it deserves a remaster

Jade Cocoon is one of those series of games that if it were to come back and maybe even revive the first two to boot, It would honestly sell on whatever platform those devs decide to put it on.
As its a sleep hit for sure.
For something on the pc/switch, Spectrobes would make a nice addition to a players library. Seeing as how you could lean heavily into the space and space monsters theme. Something that dosn't come up quite often in the monster taming world.
For me I just want to see other Eternal Eyes or just even a remaster come to both the Playstation 4/5/ and pc.
As the combination of monster taming and turn based stratagey fits in well with having tons of monsters to move around and attack things with.
And if you have extra gems on hand. A grate way to acquire a new monster when one dies off and returns to being just a puppet toy.

I'm a huge fan of Dragon Quest Monsters. I think it was always better than Pokemon. I hope it comes back.

iam just getting any kind of moster tameing games and mosters tameing games but in saying that I can picky on moster games what I like or into ooblets was fun fill in game and digmon and Pokemon games to and now that they tryed to make dragon quest treasure moster game go well but love to see what next moster tameing games and mosters framing games are going to be made and looking forward to it
Dragon Quest cannot touch Pokemon. Let's not pretend.
Fossil Fighters was good for sure but the third game was terrible. The player is confined to a car to search for fossils instead of walking around like the old game. The towns are small. There's a bad racing section.
Spectrobes was great but I doubt it would come back. The third one is the best.

I love Fossil Fighters! But something I don’t see enough of is Invizimals. I like to this it was almost like Pokémon Go but with a WAY BETTER AR system imo. It was more popular in Europe than in the US as Europe had a TCG and collectible figures you could buy. That was the Sony exclusive monster tamer for some time.
I know it'll never happen but I'd love more DemiKids games
