  1. I would play Vienna to see how it compares to La Isla. But I prefer game boxes that use less space. I’d mess around with the city games too – but maybe that’s the point. It’s a nice idea, for someone ELSE to own the game.

  2. For anyone wondering, SHEOL was an excellent game, there were a few first project goofs that didn't really impact the enjoyment at all, aside form that one of the most impressive first projects I ever saw.

  3. It's not comprehensible why Queen Games renames the Feld games. There is no reason and it's just confusing and bad! And the prices are a big scam!
People should stop buying games from Queen Games altogether.

  4. Dice People, these umbrella things are all over now. I've seen three! One of the first, if not the first, is in San Juan. Calle de Fortaleza's has become such a tourist attraction that they will change it out. For example, to celebrate 100 years of the military they changed them out to camouflage (which was boring). The nearby fort is a popular place for flying kites so they had a bunch of pink kites up there at one point. So you'd have to see what's up there if you go.

  5. Board Game Tables/Allplay are the one major exception to the "bundles of games are bad because if they were good, they would be sold separately" kind of deal. Obviously they aren't packaged together, but generally their bundles are all good games if not all but one. They do great stuff.

  6. I’m a doll collector, and Larvie was making it’s way around collector Instagram. Some people thought it was cute. I wasn’t one of them. You know what they say about putting lipstick on a maggot…

  7. Disagree with the Roll and Write thoughts. As long as it’s not requiring too much of the player, I think drawing is pretty fun. I love drawing the symbols and colouring the squares in Cartographers for example. Floor Plan looks like a similar idea to the Blueprints game, and it works pretty great. I can understand why some people don’t like to draw or colour stuff, but I’m a fan.

  8. Hey DT – would you consider doing a followup of the Age of Atlantis situation? Such a shame that this KS was one where the creator took the money and ran. Would you consider doing a followup? I would love if someone got the story out there. The real shame is that it appears the game did get made – but won't actually be shipped to anyone. But who can say because the creator disappeared 3 months ago. :-/

  10. Deluxe Amsterdam and Hamburg backer here – the Deluxe editions are a rip-off. Wait for the Classic editions of the games to show up on sale at your FLGS or Amazon.

  11. disagree with the Street Fighters Miniatures Game jab about how "there was nothing there" "no Strategy." As well as the "all you do is run up to the other player and bop bop bop." It is literally a pure fighting game about a pure fighting game. There is PLENTY of strategy, some luck, and a paper rock scissors bluff aspect that is very manageable when you know what the players character can do at certain distances. TOM IS WRONG, and its annoying. Its like saying all you do in Magic is turn cards and hit your opponent. That's an ignorant statement and simplifies out the nuances of the game's mechanics.
