Thunderbird 2 was my favorite. Not flashy but it got the job done. I also play rangers in DnD.

It must have been rough for Gordon when the pods released. Surely he didn't travel the whole way in the pod.
I believe Gordon had to take early retirement due to a recurring back problem from those repeated air drops!

I've always wondered: Why did they never show HOW TB4 was recovered in its pod? Sure, Virgil & Gordon are expert pilots, but is TB4 supposed to go UP the railings into the pod? Does TB2 have winches and pulleys in the podbay to haul up the pod? Surely TB2 can't recover Pod 4 by "landing" over it in heavy seas. The small (but important) things that they never showed in the original series!
