****** About Living Traditions Homestead ******
Living Traditions Homestead is all about living a simple and sustainable way of life. We believe the world has gotten too “busy” and that people are missing out on many of the true blessings this world has to offer. We started as a small urban homestead in Gilbert, AZ and after the city grew up around us, decided it was time leave corporate America and take a big leap of faith by moving our family to the Missouri Ozarks.
We put out new videos every week! We hope you will become part of our homestead family by subscribing to our channel and watching as we give up the rat race and live simpler, more fulfilling life in the country.

don't you have to be certified in order to sell and ship eggs or chicks
I looked forward in my Accuweather app, looks like in April, our Northern California weather will be what you have now. So looking forward to 60s!
Don't you have a flat trailer sitting around??? Could pull it up to the sprout house.
If not why not put the saw houres closer to the sprout???
I did just the opposite with my rabbits, after the heat dome and drought of last summer, I held off on breeding and had late fall and mid winter babies instead since rabbits really suffer in the heat. The first batch is now butcher time ready.I do have my cages in the barn, and covered them when the babies were tiny. Just getting into quail though, and will go now before I get them and section off the cages they are way too spacious. Thanks for the tip.
Pride chicken feed sold by TSC was implicated this past winter in causing decreased egg production in hens when that number is lowered anyway due to the winter season. I was wondering if y’all think your decreased egg production could have been due to decreased nutrition caused by changed formulation to cause hardship by the PTB. I don’t remember where y’all get your chicken feed or if you make your own. I do know that when homesteaders changed from Pride to another company, or started making their own that egg production immediately increased from NO eggs back to seasonally expected production. Thank you, good to see y’all problem solve and overcome.
Thanks for showing us the animals and giving us an update. What has happened with your other homestead?
I was just thinking about your beef and dairy cows. It seems to be a while since we've seen any of the critters. Thanks for topping us off on all the farm animals today. Enjoy the wonderful weather!!!🍥❣
Beautiful 💕
And what a great, GREAT! bit of news on the American Bresse chickens, eggs!
I chose Black Australaurp, Buff Orpington, and Americauna for dual purpose as well. Haven't made the leap to harvest any thought. I'm a bit chicken, lol
Interesting I hope Rose comes through for you’s. I love bunnies so will not watch anything that has to do with their meat. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💚🥰🤗
The plants are looking amazing my hats off to you all
Didnt you all know that you could put just a pinch of cayene pepper in their water during the winter n you will have eggs all yr long yep it works
Had a homestead in France and kept quail without aggression issues in much larger spaces. I think genetics are at play but I also think that if you keep animals their welfare is a responsibility and this is really not a great life in such a cramped space. I watch your videos regularly but have to disagree with this approach.
why not get and keep a pure jersy bull for them that way you know you get pure breed jersy bulls and heifers and be able to sell the bull calfs lol.
Don’t you stop doing videos! I am sharing you on Facebook and I shared you with a friend who lives in Summersville Mo. I live in The Show Me State too!! 😂
I'd put bird neeting over your chicken mote to keep predators out, if possible.
❤❤
What was that hatchery name? I can’t seem to make it out
👍👍👍
There is some very very very good news Jesus is coming soon!! God Bless!!
Here in Taiwan, there is an egg shortage. No eggs available in the stores for the past week now. Wishing I had a place to keep some chickens about now… Thanks for your time and sharing these videos.
What state is North star farms in? Just curious to see what they have. I'm planning on ordering more chicks
You guys lift my spirits and give me hope for our country. Thank you🌷
You might want to try Holstein cows for milk. They produce more milk but it isn’t as rich as Jersey. The butterfat isn’t as high. We had Jersey on our small family farm but I lived across the road from a dairy and they had Holstein. I asked when I was a kid why they didn’t have Jersey and that was what my grandfather told me.
Thank you.
My husband and I watch you two daily. We want to invest
In meat rabbits this year for us, but am having trouble locating any here in Norwich, Ct. . Any suggestions on how to locate any?
So why is it that you HOMESTEADERS Refuse to use Holstein Dairy COWS!!!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
👍👍👍👍👍
Do you have a link for the rabbit ear mite med?
When I started getting too many rabbits in freezer and not eating them on the regular I started making rabbit breakfast sausages. By adding spices and added fat you can make patties or links.
If I were a farm animal I would appreciate the kind of care you guys give lol up until harvest. You give great care to both plant and animal in a way that shows your faith. You are blessed to have such great land and plNts and animals and they are blessed to have you.
I think you can use those quail cages again. In our 4 year journey with quail we had aggression one time for a short stent. We have been aggression free for over a year. We have 2 x 3 stacked cages and typically have 2 males and 10-12 hens per cage. It’s been going well for a while now.
My wife used to raise rabbits fir Scripps Institute in San Diego California
She used baby oil to treat ear mites. Apparently it smothers the mites and moisten the scabs. You aldo don't need to treat as often because it hangs around a while.
