That dark elf beast master lord next. Forgot his name now. Lol
Vampire Coast isn't for long or grand campaigns
It's for listening to The Pirates of The Caribbean theme while blowing guys up
This faction is terrible againts armored lizardman because they have no "hold" unit in early game so you cannot stop them to destroy your shooters🤷♂🤷♂🙄🙄.
4:25 There is actually a exclusive landmark from the Vampire Coast: It's Cylostra Opera in Lothern, granted is not that far away but still a nice challenge to do if you want
I just feel like alot of their units feel bad compared to the necrofex, the only effective way of playing them late game is spamming necrofexes. CA should massively buff alot of their units, especially the depth guard.
One thing that's pretty annoying about the Coast is their loyalty system. It's tied to traits that require specific actions, and sometimes those actions are hard or impossible to do. One of them is that they gain loyalty while recruiting and fighting other pirate lords. Eventually you will stop recruiting and sooner than later you'll run out of pirates to fight. I don't know if loyalty is also increased like normal, but considering how much attention they draw to it, I don't think so. Also I personally really do enjoy the treasure hunting, sometimes it forces you to really look closely at the map and admire its attention to detail which you don't often do if you've played the game as much as I have
This felt more like a vampire coast review not a luthor harkon review
I love the VA with Luther. Idk I just feel it. Also his lore is super cool. But honestly I’ve just found the campaign does get boring after a while. It gets repetitive fast.
I think the big changes Vcoast would need would be even better :
– Better pirate coves buildings, only 2 on the 4 are decents ! the 2 others are useless.
– Better deck droppers (they have 3 of them in their roster and aren't worth it in campaign)
– Cities building that gives factionwide bonus (the gold building of major settlement could give additionnal gold for the money rite or lower the number of turns required to use it)
– Slightly better traits for legendary admirals. Burke black and Monfort are very good, but the two others are far off their leagues.
If you seek motivation or challenge – you may start migration campaign on Ulthuan for early Sword of Khaine. This wouldn't be easy at all, but Luthor is also just the best vampire coast lord for one man doomstack even without his magic. And get the lord with like 45% (5% from skilltree + 20% from tech tree banner and 20% for base Sword of Khaine) ward save and great damage in early game is very satisfying.
I like the Vampire Coast roster and a lot of the gameplay– But the slow accessibility to agents is crippling to me
I wanted to see more fat Legendary Lords. Legend has truly disappointed me on a a personal level.
Hey @LegendofTotalWar
I know you probably won't see this message or if you I thank you for taking the time. But I am new to the Warhammer franchise besides playing Vermintide, but the Total War Warhammer game, the only one I have, is Warhammer 2 and the free DLC's with it. With that I had a question on someone who is new to it and what faction you recommend me to play and on top of that, should I go and spend the money to just jump to Warhammer 3 instead of Warhammer 2?
Fun fact about treasure hunting: by clicking the magnifying glass, the camera will zoom to the exact spot you need to dig to unearth the treasure.
I would like to see a review on Heimlich Kemmler. I am currently waiting to start his campaign. Would love to have your take on it @legend. Thanks.
Pirate Coast hits their cap early…. smiles in Count Noctilus turn 30ish Necrofex doomstack
I seen a few of these but I'm kinda tapped out. Would love to see a more flushed out, with just how to get a perfect start like 10 rounds in a 10 min video.
Also what you would upgrade in the hero and just show us the template filled up 🙂
What people miss about Luthor is his special item – he gets 50% reduced Raise Dead cost. In the end its not enough to make it free like with Kemmler but raising a doom stack out of every battle marker for cheap can be quite funny. Also he's a flying caster with a ranged attack, that makes him in my opinion more fun then Noctilus. Who yes, can get his doomstack pretty early but has nothing else besides it and as fas as doomstacks go its pretty crappy and even a high end AI army that is due to RNG heavy on anti large will make short work – Luthor is more balanced. Also due to his insanity perk and the goal of curing it his first 50 turns are mostly focused around working on that, allowing you to stretch the game a bit more as far as VC go. Btw – he gets serious buffs to heroes, so can make an entirely valid hero only doomstack.
It's Noctilus all the way for me. A doomstack of necrofex colossy is just too damn fun. And the factions starting position means that you can pretty much go anywhere and will rarely ever have to defend any territory as you dont really need to conquer territory.
It's the faction that feels the most like actual pirates. You just kind of go around razing settlements and establishing pirate coves and eventually you just nuke all enemy armies with necrofex colossy. Also late game movement range and unit regeneration is completely broken.
I played this campaign on normal recently, and man do your units really suck against AI cavalry early game. Alberic somehow just gets full stacks of Knight Errants and they just run through zombies.
The jungle terrain actually hurts your gun troops much more than it hurts cavalry as well. He was a real PITA, but after that, once you get armor piercing gunpowder units auto-resolve really puts in work lmao.
I'd like to hear about Sisters of Twilight. Really enjoy this series so far, brilliant idea.
Not Confederating these Tomb Kings and Vampire Coast is a bore! Need a Nagash DLC that confederates all the Undead together imo! If Belakor/Archaeon can confederate 8 Legendary Lords, Nagash confederating 10 Undead Vampires seems within the ballpark.
Pls do Valkia and Teclis
are you able to do a review of nakai the wanderer? He seems pretty strong but I wonder if there are any issues with his campaign.
A small correction you get access to hero caps through shipbuilding now, only got +1 of each type for a ship but its there.
Question; "Why haven't any advanced alien civilizations initiated official open contact with humanity?" Answer; "Because humans are entertained by games that realistically portray the destruction of their own world and the brutal murdering of their own kind." These games are played using addictive technology that desensitizes the small and easily manipulated human brain to react, the same way a heroin addict reacts to the push, when they blow somebody's head off. The exhilaration players feel as the gore accelerates furiously satisfying the blood lust coursing through their veins along with the health stealing ‘energy’ drinks. Since our civilization seems to be circling the drain in a never ending cycle of war, death and destruction it is quite likely you will get the opportunity to participate in the real world at war one day. Put down the bullshit technology and pick up a book. You might actually learn something worth knowing, possibly……but I doubt it.
Now do Deathmaster!
I don't believe the ogre kingdoms contract mechanic is as terrible as treasure maps. For ogre kingdoms, the contract mechanic is pretty useful in upgrading your camps (I remember there's a reward that can add +300 development for your camps for 5 turns?), and besides that, the item rewards are much better than treasure maps.
I will forever be raw you can't norscan confederate the other pirate lords, that's my only big problem with VCoast. Still love my boy Harkon though
Great video legend. Would you be able to cover Boris Ursus or Gor-Rok. I know Gor changed a bit from game 2 to 3 and wondered what you think of the changes.
lets gooAA ! wait this video is not 6 hours long
So both counts and pirates got a needs work review.
What if they where allowed to confederate each other and they couldn't directly recruit from each others pools, but they could trade units?
To powerful or incentive to get out there and make it a self appointed challenge?
My boy Belegar next
Treasure hunting is pretty lame. Noctilus is the only fun one
Love Vampire Coast, if GW hadn’t collapsed fantasy this would have been a new faction that would have got me back into plastic
CA or Modders should add rewards, like items, to treasure maps and remove the Loyalty penalty for aborting these missions.
I played a Cilostra campaign and went to cathay immediately and in ~150 turn I NEVER got a treasure map in the bad lands / cathay / chaos wastes /… / … I don't think they made new ones for TW:WH3 so it's the same treasure sites we already had in TW:WH2 so Lustria, Naggaroth, Ulthan, Norsca, Old World, Bad Lands, South Lands.
Ok bro we get it you don't like hunting for treasure lol
you hit the nail on the head. they reach max potential fairly early and they just arent that interesting outside of maybe maximizing coves and maybe building up all the horde lords. ill also add they have a boring doomstack and the power difference between their standard army and doomstack is far too great
Boris next would be nice.
Total war fans can someone help me, random question but i seen a clip once of a spell going down I thought it must be dwarf it looked like an enormous rune of wrath and ruin but went off like a doom rocket with a huge animation above it sort of like foot of gork but it was a huge hammer, again made me think it had to be like a unique thorek ironbrow rune or maybe empire i guess with the hammer i dont know,
Basically does anyone here know what that is maybe its a mod i guess
You know, why DON'T we get unique treasures from treasure finding? It seems pretty obvious in hindsight.
