I have more negative interactions with cast members than positive anymore so I can’t really bring myself to care about their pay.

Seems like Disney will welcome the flood of cast members migrating to Universal…..it will reduce their payroll (+ for them) which they know they can’t replace, based on still poor general response to jobs overall AND the kick in the balls to the union. Bet that the company line will become ..”Oh, well…we will have to do the best we can with our current reduced staff”….all the while cackling with glee while counting their gold coins. Sniveling worms that they are…..

I normally don’t comment on Disney posts but on reels, Facebook and Instagram I have made comments about getting cast members a livable wage. Even better part was I was not alone. Your fans are answering the call to action
Well, they would’ve gotten a room, but, ya know, $600 a night because only deluxe resorts have spur of the moment vacancy.

Disney not being reasonable with their treatment of cast members is bad enough, without offering a discount on merch, the cast members can’t afford. They need to stop insulting the cast members’ intelligence, saying how important the cast members are, and then doing those cast members wrong. It’s not even about castmembers demanding something they want. It’s about the cast members getting what they need, to be able to keep the magic alive, not to mention Disney’s profits.
Disney Parks needs to invest in cast members and Maintenance. Come on Josh, get your shill together.

We were there 2 weeks ago and got stuck on Carousel of Progress for about 10-15 mins. My kids memorized the song at that point since we watched the same scene 2-3 times. But it was funny because everyone in the audience was singing 😂
Sonny is the only reason to step anywhere near Cosmic Rays… as a guest i always thought it was nasty and crowded and the few shifts i picked up there when i was in EPCOT cast member were horrible and the only reason i pick them up was because it was gonna be triple time( which came out to close to $20.00 an hour… but to get to that point i had already worked 80 hours that week) and a friend volunteered to brave the day with me… in all fairness it wasn't quite as bad as we were told… but it was worse than working MK strollers and that's considered one of the worst… though i didn't mind it quite so much, if you work there regularly i could see it being a source of perhaps mental health hospitalization…
i'm very curious how bad the sound of the 100 lawn mowers at speedway is for someone standing in line for tron… as well as the exhaust smell. back in and a 2001 as part of the mass a few months after 9/11 shuffle and lay off of cast members i was put at space mountain after being at the living seas for the previous two years. some people would have considered that good but i had worked hard to in the coral reef and the attraction side to get a slot in the dolphins in depth program which i did… and then promptly lost because of my hire date… anyway i can't remember a single cast member out of the dozens i knew that liked working speedway… i think it would have been fortuitous and definitely an excellent cross promotional thing to have speedway converted to electric to coincide with the opening of light cycle run. it would be great to capture the kids that can't ride it yet. they could have even temporarily rethemed it by having the cars wrapped in neon stripes…..of course it also would be the responsible thing to do for environmental reasons. i still can't understand why they haven't done it yet. it's really obvious that especially in recent years that imagineers have been at least partially shut out of the decision making process. if disney continues to perpetuate this practice they will die on that hill.
20 years ago we thought speedway was an ear and smell sore.. probably now it's also an eyesore… of course i don't think it should be removed, but certainly converted an updated. i could imagine millennial and younger actively complaining about the gasoline lawn mowers i mean cars…
