The Females in GTFO appear to have a different variation of the disease apart from the males. During their infection process, it would seem as where the males heads will split, the females will grow pods. The question at this point becomes why? Well today lets discuss that!

The designers likely wanted to keep the traditionally Western ideal female form (larger, rounded hips and derrière, smooth abdomen, proportional, rounded breasts) somewhat intact as that would be more attractive to the target demographic.

Wouldn't it be weirder though, if in a future sequel, the extra blood towards the biggest area of infection on the lower body of the female, was for a purpose? Like, blood needs to be able to flow to have "deh babeys". That's what the point of menstrual cycle is. So would this infectious species be Able to?
since the mutations appear to be influenced by both hormone levels and genetics, I wonder what would happen to a trans or intersex person, or just an "non-average" person, for example, a cis man with high immunity and low body muscle. would they turn into either of the forms, become something in between or just die?
I also wonder if they mutated like that to avoid the males?
It seems like the females mutated much slower than males, seeing as how their faces become contorted in pain by the growth. If so, they might've needed to stay away from males and so they have adapted to long range protection to protect themselves from being killed by the faster mutated males. Cause if they mutated slower it could mean that the males might mistake them for sustenance and kill them. Though you think the hands have been mutated I think their hands might've been gnawed or bitten off by males.
