This channel just keeps getting better and better. I love it.
If you want awesome game music, listen to the Interstate 76 soundtrack. Tracks 21(Spineless funk) and 28(Never get outta the car) only if you are in a hurry.
I believe the composer David Wise went on a journey to Europe to create these lovely tracks while working on DKC2. Great stuff.
Please react to Xenoblade Chronicles 3 OST 🙏🙏🙏 (weight of life, Moebius theme).
please please please do Hiroyuki Sawano / Project【emU】 “Attack on Titan” suite – YOU GOTTA!!
You should take a listen to Ghost of Tsushima's soundtrack! The tracks on there are beautiful and I'd love to hear your opinion and deconstruction on 'The Way of the Ghost'!
One of the most crazy things to me about these compositions from David Wise was the tools he used to make these tracks on the SNES. He was heavily limited by what he could load at once in memory and developed a lot of interesting programming techniques with the SNES Sound Sequencer to quick load different samples while the song was playing live on the system; this way he could pull in way more sounds and do the large sweeps that he was so known for in these tracks.
David wise is a legend. Thx 4 rockin it.
Can't recommend Tim Follin enough after this. Plok boss theme, pictionary (yes pictionary lol), Solstice and Silver Surfer level 1 are mind blowing on 1st listen.
The opening title song for DKC is like peak 90's. It's so cheeky, it always makes me smile. Feels like Shigeru Miyamoto kicking in your door and going "HEY KID, WE GOT 16 BITS IN HERE NOW, IT'S A WHOLE NEW WORLD, I'M ABOUT TO ROCK YOUR SOCKS OFF"

I love your videos! Since you're on SNES games like Donkey Kong Country… If I could put in a request for a video game OST that I think gets horribly overlooked and underappreciated, please take a moment to look at the OST for the Super Nintendo version of Gradius 3. Amazing arrangements, heavily layered, and even has tracks that remind me of something I'd hear played by Rush. I would love to see it get more attention and see what you think of it. I could send you a link to a great YouTube video that has it in its entirety.
I am so happy to see "Mining Melancholy" make it on here. That's a song I know at least requested in comments earlier. My favorite DKC track <3
Fun fact: jungle hijinx hits different!
I'm new to your channel, but I enjoyed this video. You spoke at the end of what you want to start playing, and that's awesome! I don't know if you played games in the 70s-80s and moved on to other hobbies or just dabbled through console generations, but of the choices you were deciding on, I'd recommend Journey for a new player. Games like Hollow Knight and Dark Souls/Bloodborne, while beautiful at what they do, are made to be challenging and push players to their limit. I don't think there's anything wrong with trying them first, but if you reach a wall or become frustrated, please don't become discouraged from playing and finding what games best work for you. Journey is much more about the experience and will help you gain a general knowledge of the controller/keyboard. Whatever you decide, hope you enjoy.
I don't know if you've already done a reaction to this, but "Dire, Dire Docks," from Super Mario 64 is phenomenal. You should definitely check it out if you haven't.
RE: twitch stream vid on sound assignments, (i don't have account) Look up "8bit guy", he has a couple of videos that go into detail on old sound cards and how sounds are produced from them.
You have to do " ace combat" music, some tracks I'd recommend would be
Zero
Daredevil
Sol squadron
Blockade
Unsung war.
Honestly anything from the franchise slaps
Hi, love your channel and I'm so glad I discovered it!
If you are open to recommendations I would love to recommend any of Frank Klepacki's work on the Red Alert series, but probably the track Hell March (1,2, or 3) as it's the opening title for the games.
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge, it's been fun learning so much terminology and listening critically to music!
Hey Geebz, I like how you always seem to keep a positive attitude towards any song the community throws at you! I wonder if there's any style, songs or trends you actually dislike? Thanks for all the content, it really helps us appreciate what makes these songs great.
I love your reactions and musical breakdowns due to your great understanding and insight in music and I especially adore the fact that you react with your entire body.
Although it may not be regarded as any of the greatest ever soundtracks I appreciate the OST of Deep Rock Galactic composed by Sophus Alf Agerbæk-Larsen, you needn't do a reaction to it, but I would greatly appreciate if you did.
missed out bigtime on Aquatic ambiance
please, listen the gta 4 main theme. it would be so cool
I need to see a review of Banjo Kazooies music, I’m new to the channel and it might have happened already, but I did a small (small) amount of searching and couldn’t find it.
Nice channel… I recomender you a videogame music from Monkey island intro and monkey island scumm bar 🙂
Por cierto, suscrito a tu canal 😉
If I could suggest something it would be the Nier: Automata OST. Amazing game with amazing soundtrack.
With all the "Reacts" channels out there, very few actually make me feel like I'm learning something.
first song sounded like somthin kygo would make these days
Great video Geebz!
I've got a suggestion you won't come across every day; react to any song on the "Warhammer 40,000 – Mechanicus" OST by French composer Guillaume David.
The entire work was recorded in a 12th century cathedral, with some big help from its pipe organ 🙂
The tracks "Noosphere" or "Children of the Omnissiah" are especially satisfying.
https://youtu.be/aJIDqYZ7qM0
Thanks for your work!
Forget interlude is my favorite DKC song. It just has everything I need to let the nostalgia flow back
It would be great if you could analyze DMC 5 Vergil's theme Bury the Light / Composer Casey Edwards / Singer Victor Borba https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jrg9KxGNeJY
the DK series had some of the hardest tracks, period. so good.
DK1 to the rest you hear a 'quality' improvment with tech and refinement but still its so good man so damn good
I just discovered you today but damn I'm about to binge every video in this playlist and more! Keep this style of videos up, it's always the subtle things that deserve the most analysis.
No Stickerbrush Symphony? oO
David Wise, the king. I'm glad you enjoyed his stuff!
Fun reaction. I love the dkc game series. You really have to listen to the donkey kong country tropical freeze game soundtrack too. The composer David Wise is a genius.
The metroid games also had an amazing soundtrack. Hope you listen to it too sometime.
everyone notices the phil collins influence in mining melancholy but not vangelis (the vocal humming like in conquest of paradise). wise said he listened to vangelis a lot in that time
React On ULTRAKILL OST – ORDER
Oh, you actually did Forest Interlude! Nice! I knew you'd like it.
