  1. Erik here! Thank you all for the kind words. This breakdown was obviously pretty tough for me to get through at the end there. For one, it was an emotional gut-punch of an ending that left me heartbroken for the resolve Ellie must force herself to feel. Also, to be candid with you all, I've just been emotionally spent working to get our new channel launched, feeling a similar kind of fear that all my toiling and sleepless nights could be for nothing. I'm just in a raw place this week.

Meanwhile, for those of you who are getting triggered by the idea that January 6 was, in fact, a violent day in which armed rioters set up gallows with a noose for our Vice President, I'm truly sorry that you can't handle it when someone compares art to history that you like to pretend didn't happen. If you have to check out to avoid hearing about a reality that you disagree with, just remember that the reality will still be there.

"That's it, I'm unsubscribing, bye," say the ones who sat through me comparing Kathleen to the Bush Administration during the War on Terror last week, yet clutch their pearls when they hear January 6th was bad. You guys are hilarious.

  2. The ending was so heart wrenching. I watched the gameplay so I knew what was gonna happen but I didn’t feel anything when it did happen in the game except oh too bad but my heart hurt after finishing this episode. They all did such a fantastic job.

  3. Question for people who have played the game:
I've never played Last of Us, and I know I'm going to in the future, so the question is…
Should I stop watching the series and go play the game first? Or should I finish watching and THEN play the game?

  4. BRUH XD Collaboration means "working with someone to produce something" AND "traitorous cooperation with an enemy". Like France collaborated with Germany during WWII ! Please tell me you know that XD

  5. Its easy for us to be convinced by the trick of storytelling of the immorality of the resistance in a few days which we have seen, when they have been, quote, "raped, tortured, and murdered people for twenty years" by FEDRA off-camera.

This is how writers create heroes and villains, even in the most "grey" stories. There are no protagonists or antagonists in reality.

  6. Every episode of TLOU has been outstanding, but this was the best, in my opinion. The acting was incredible. The series is amazing. Always so grateful to have your fantastic and insightful post-watch analyses to look forward to. Thank you !

  7. interesting point about the "soul". People w/dementia like alzheimer slowly fade and its hard to work w/your own family at end stages. You earn for the "real person" you know is inside them to come out.
