  2. I played here in the 80's when it was The Central. The load-in door is a double-door on Sunset blvd, , that was closest to the stage. The side door was often used a the entrance and it also led to a lower floor tiny dressing room for the bands….. I played guitar onstage here with Michael Monarch of Steppenwolf/Detective and Frank Infante of Blondie on the same night. It was a benefit show… Both Michael Monarch and Frank Infante lived across the street in the same building Nikki Sixx used to live in…..

  3. You didnt load in in the front. Played at the Whisky before pandemic. Load in was in the back. They dont have sushi at the Rainbow. It was another sushi restaurant..Tenmasa.

You need someone who was there in the early 2000 or the 90s. Otherwise you just have rumours. The signatures at the 'bow were done around 2017. This is like when Liverpool tore down the Cavern Club and then made another one in its place. And then its retold by people who have limited knowledge of how it really was. Appreciate they obviously have the respect for the music but are so off the mark! State Social Club was NOT the House of Blues! That was further east! Torn down in 2015 (performed there). You got it so wrong. Get your facts right please.

  4. Damn I can't believe they're tearing down the viper room. Probably tearing it down to build apartments. I've seen on other l.a. based channels that apartment buildings are going up everywhere.who they're for I don't know seeing as how ppl are getting out of socal as fast as they can pack their suitcase.

  5. Bullwinkle is in that pose because the statue was made as a spoof of the showgirl statue on a billboard across the street from Jay Ward Studios advertising the Sahara hotel/casino in Vegas. She had one leg up and an outstretched arm with a candelabra (instead of Rocky!) in her hand.

  6. You have that backwards! The door on Sunset is load in and the side door is entrance. Tommy Lee fight was on the side of the building by entrance.

  7. My “club” was the Keystone Berkeley, I saw so many bands there I can’t remember them all, Metallica, megadeth, SRV, talking heads, Joe perry project, jerry Garcia just to name a few. I worked at UC Berkeley back then which was about 100 yards from the Keystone so I always knew who was playing there. But they closed down in 84, good memories!

  8. Thanks for the video 👍If that was England, it would be full of ugly accommodation for students by now – the big moneyspinner here in UK. Seems as if there's almost nothing left of Sunset Strip, but the British are experts at destroying their history and culture (and letting others destroy it) too.
