Why are your audio levels always so terrible? Its gotten to the point where if i have to adjust all my audio levels (game, browser, discord) just to hear your video, i just skip it now 🙁

You mischaracterize the calorie data as 'consumption' but the graphic (and the numbers themselves) relate to 'supply at the retail level' i.e. how many calories are available _to be consumed_, which does not mean they are actually consumed due to waste either by the retailer or the consumer. The USDA estimates food waste at the retail and consumer level to be 31%, so reducing the figure accordingly gives 2680.
If people were, on average, actually consuming 3800 calories per day then almost everyone would be obese.

@TopTenz the audio on recent episodes is completely unacceptable. Maybe it's a mic issue but I'm pretty sure it has more to do with messed up audio mixing. It's like the background music was brought to the front and Simon's voice was lowered and in the background instead. And then the volume overall is very low compared to other channels. How frustrating for all the writers and researchers who put in so much time, not to mention Simon taking the time to read and record it all, only to have the audio be so messed up viewers can barely hear anything at all! You guys have nearly 2 million subscribers, come on, do better!!
