  1. That thing about fully expecting to hear the GoT theme song after the HBO intro is not just you. I binged GoT, I got so used to hearing the opening lines of that damn song. Good reaction, Leo!

  3. In the game itโ€™s HEAVILY implied that Bill is gay, the magazine scene in the truck is straight out of the game almost word for word. So if people canโ€™t handle two dudes in a relationship, thatโ€™s on them.

  4. You say Kathleen is nuts but she lead a liberation army to free KC from Fedra. She's the George Washington of KC. The ones in the cells are 'collaborators' or citizens that helped the government oppressors. She's cold and hard but in her mind she's just ordering the execution of their world's Nazi collaborators.

  5. Yeah thereโ€™s can food from World War II if preserved right itโ€™s still edible can foods because of all the chemicals going into preserving them they end up preserving them for longer periods of time with only minuet changes in taste

  6. Her blood didn't work because that's not how cures work. There's a few problems here
    1) Blood type: If her blood type doesn't match his which it most likely won't, his body will reject her blood.

    2) Blood cells: You're blood is pretty smart, it fights for your body not others. This is why blood type is so important

    3) Proteins and antibodies: I'm assuming the science minds of this world are going to use antibodies to improve B and T cells production in order to neutralize the cordyceps/Fungus infection. In order for that to happen Ellies blood would have to be extracted in large volumes… And I mean Large volumes they would most like kill her as the human body produces 1.2-1.5 gallons (10 Pints of blood) in the average adult, so for Ellie being a teenager she'd produce between 5-7 pints in a female teenage body which Ellen's character in this show is 14 years old.

    4) The reason that the firefly group (The bad guys =antagonists with the scientists) would most likely kill Ellie is because they'd have to suck out all her blood in order to analyze key portions of her blood, record and isolate said key strains of her blood/Antibodies along with recording what Geno mutations and phenotypic characterization/human cytomegalovirus mutants Ellie was able to acquire.

    5) With this Data we could do two things
    1) – by isolating key antibodies we could Synthesize better treatment to help the body better fight off any spores which enters the body

2)- Build a virus, for those who don't know viruses are the greatest programmers to ever exist, the codex/RNA within a virals cells walls if we learn, can be designed in such a way to take over infected cells, effectively killing whatever cells in us is effected. In fact using a virus is probably the best way to way what's happens in this post apocalyptic world because we could design a airborne viral weapon which effectively hits the entire population. Now obviously you wouldn't shoot for the moon you'd have to bring in test subjects, lock them in a lock and ward highly controlled and regulated setting, and observe them. You'd have to documented variables, Factors which could help or harm the patients recovery process, which blood tests work best with this new cure and which don't, make adjustments to the cure and that on average could takes between 10-15 years, 20 in some cases but by then we'd all be gone as these cordyceps will find a way to better weaponize and kill humanity. I just don't sqree humans walking away from this ๐Ÿ˜”

  7. Man its awesome seeing your reaction since its new, a lot of us played the game so we saw these things coming and prayed that they would change this but, spoilers for the TLOU part 1 but they did not change this scenario and trust the show makes it so much sadder ๐Ÿฅฒ

And about the blood, its just not that simple unfortunately in modern medicine, which the show is based on you have to find the main ingredient of the cure [Ellieโ€™s nervous system brain tissue and basically everything in her body] is this cure, so lets say it worked with her blood, you still need a whole lab of equipment and a group of scientists and doctors to figure it out and create it and learn how to apply it

  8. Fun Fact: every sound by the Infected in the game and the show are performed by actual humans; even the Clickers and the Big Fungus. It isn't like some other movies where they put in animal sound to make them sound scarier; it's all people, wrecking their own voiceboxes.

  9. Even if Ellie is the key to the cure, she can't just cut her hand open and start dropping healing blood onto people. That would be pushing it scientifically, even for this show.

  10. Iโ€™m a HUGE fan of both games. I even have Ellieโ€™s tattoo on my arm from the second game. And I have to say, Iโ€™m really tired of other game fans complaining how the show deviates from the game. Like who tf wants a direct carbon copy of the game?? The creators of the game even announced that the show will deviate and expand on characters way before the show even came out. I thought what they did with Bill and Frank was so much more impactful than the game and added so much more in a small amount of time in terms of story. IMO the writers in the show so far have me PERFECT decisions when it comes to staying true to the game, making slight deviations, and deciding when to completely veer from the source material. You can tell the people involved in this show are actually true fans of the game.

  11. In the game, Sam was Ellies age and he wasn't deaf so that threw me for a loop but it still worked really well. So, now you've met the Bloaters (the big huge ones). That's what happens to you when you've been infected for so long. Agree, every episode has been amazing. You can just never get used to a certain character because in the apocalypse nobody is safe.
