The long grind of the football season is almost over. There are two teams remaining in the great quest for the Super Bowl, but it doesn’t mean the wheels of momentum stop for the rest of the league. For eighteen franchises, their seasons have been over for about a month or so. New coaches and managers are being hired, players are retiring or leaving for other pastures, and the course of their future will be dictated or changing course entirely. This is the NFL Debriefing, and may those that failed miserably (or failed in less miserable fashion) be remembered for their deeds during the year. Or should I say lack thereof?

  1. Still bummed about the 49ers falling apart in the NFC title game, but they should be back next year. I will say this: if Purdy didn't get injured, the game would have been much closer. We may not have won, but at least we could have gone down in a blaze of glory instead of a wet fart. And yes, the 10 year old boy in me is chuckling at that term. All kidding aside, if the 49ers can get some help on the O-line and not lose too many of their free agents, we should be okay in 2023. Of course, part of me wants them to just go all in next year with the "fuck them picks" mentality the Rams had last year.

  2. 18:09 thank god this man is out of the nfl. They can’t treat him like a Princess every time he gets touched anymore.
To be serious though, expected nothing from the falcons this year and they looked better than expected so I’ll take it.

  3. Things that scare me in the NFL, the Jete looking somewhat confident with things going in the right direction at which they did last season . Then they gave me sigh of relief when they go full Jete by replacing a confident OC with and my Bills's former OC from a decade ago in Nathaniel Hackett. Now I wonder if history will repeat it self and they trade for a Packer's starting QB in this case Aaron Rodgers.

  4. Speaking as a long time(49 seasons) Cardinal fan let me be frank. We expect this from this team. This franchise has been a laughing stock since the founding of the NFL(they are the oldest continuing franchise in the league). With scant few exceptions, this franchise has a penchant for showing signs that maybe they'll start to turn it around to making a complete 360 and going back into the toilet. Yes ever since the Big Taco opened in 2006 they've been more competitive. They've made the playoffs more times in the last 15 seasons than they did the previous 50 years combined. However, in the playoffs the same old Cards come out to play. Since going to the Super Bowl, they've gone 2-4 in the playoffs with 3 of the 4 losses by a combined 88 points. And now they have the albatross of a contract they gave to a man-child QB who'd rather play video games than hone his craft. This team will become like the Jets.

  6. I’ve been following you since 2017 I remember you were still in the tens of thousands of subscribers. The fact that you’re still not at 1M is a crime against humanity. Almost there, though.

  7. 11:27 Yup. Keywords Brady AND Belichick. Lets fire the guy who kept this team together and led you to the playoffs and get that sexy hire in Josh McDaniel's. I liked the Raiders before the year started, but said to myself that this dude was the question mark.

  8. Being a Chiefs fan since I was born I'm happy and proud of my team as of late. We've been to 5 straight AFC championships and now our 3rd super bowl appearance in the last 5 years I can understand how other team fanbases will hate the chiefs. Just understand I'm 38 and I've been waiting my entire life to see my chiefs be dominate in football. I've suffered through alot of rough years with horrible luck teams in the past so I tell you if your team is playing bad now never give up because you never know one day you may finally get a great team like the chiefs now.

  9. Come on Tree, you're being way too hard on our Stillers. They did improve in the second half, ok they were mostly against cupcakes and yeah they kept Matt F'in Canada and yeah they have holes all over the D, need an upgrade at left tackle and possibly right if they chuck Chuks, and yeah they probably could use another WR and definitely a new punter. But hey they have two picks in the first 32 thanks to Da Bears and three in the first 48, which ain't shabby and they can always shitcan Mitch or some other piece of dreck to recoup their missing 4th and 5th. And I have faith that super genius Omar Kahn will maneuver the cap so they can pick off a couple of decent FA's and also keep Sutton and Edmunds. And and you know they can draft a WR in the 7th and he'll be an All-Pro and they also have a great track record with undrafted FAs, and dude they got Kenny! And what is wrong with Joey Porter Jr anyway? Ok this has been long but you need to be reminded that as an avid fan you must have optimism for the coming season no matter what, keep your eyes always on that seventh ring and bleed black and gold till you hemorrhage. Keep that false hope alive, my man.

  10. For the Rams, I'm still happy about the ring but this season sucked. Injuries left and right, a pathetic offensive line. I'm hoping for a better season but it's gonna be hard competing with the Niners having Brock Purdy and a strong defense along with the Seahawks and Cards. I will say the Goff-Stafford trade is win-win.

  11. Eh, as a Rams fan, the picks didn't fuck back really, more like the god of injury angered plus an OC taken out straight out of college to replace Kevin McConnell, with Raheem Morris refusing to play anything but soft zone regardless of yardage. We'll need pieces soon, but I think we have one good run left.
