Plans to revive the previously doomed European Super League have resurfaced and Celtic look likely to be in the mix for an invite.
In the latest development, clubs across the continent have reportedly been contacted to gauge their interest in forming a new European tournament to take the place of the lucrative Champions League.
The Super League 2.0 would involve 60 to 80 teams in a multi-division format, guaranteeing at least 14 games per campaign.
The European Clubs Association quickly slammed the breakaway plans as an “alternative reality”, while the SPFL are keeping their powder dry for now as they await the outcome of a court ruling after the initial failed attempt to break away from the current Champions League format.

I want Scotland to join.
I would love Scottish sides to join the Euripean Super League.
I.would love sides like Glasgow Celtic, Glasgow Rangers, Aberdeen, Hearts, Hibs and Dundee United to join the ESL.
I.would love for the European Super League to have two hierarchical divisikns of twenty. With two North and Soith divisions of twenty. With promotion and relegation into the league from the domestic leqgues.
I would love the big.clubs from the smaller countries to compete, Clubs from countries like Scotland, Poland, Portugal, the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Norwqy, Sweden, Austria, Czexh Republic, Slovakia, Greece and Finland could compete.
The smaller coumties need to have aises that can compete.
Rangers are ranked above them so how should rangers view it
The only people who don’t want a European super league are the epl , twenty teams holding the rest of Europe tae ransom , football looses too much money for it not to happen at some point , clubs like Barca and Bayern don’t want to be making less money than Brighton or Brentford regardless of how exiting these teams are within their own structure
In any case the more that English clubs get bought over by rich benefactors then a super league becomes more and more likely regardless of wot talksport says , do you seriously think that the owners of Man City or Chelsea , Newcastle etc etc etc are loosing sleep cause Andy Goldstein gave out ah bit ay short shrift twenty seconds before ah selco advert
