The LeBron/Jordan debate is so ridiculous. It doesn't matter and it's not even measurable. If they were both on the same team, it would be Jordan's team. If there was a last shot, Jordan would take it. The best scorer for the other team would probably be guarded by Jordan because he would insist and LeBron would defer. LeBron's stat sheet would look more balanced, but after 48 minutes, it would be clear who the star of the game would be. It's not marketing, it's watching the games.
Just shows nets were operating on spite not logic should have sent Kyrie to Lakers and got them first round picks and have a young roster with incoming future talent.
The Nets are not giving up this season Nick. They are trying to Re-tool not complete rebuild IMHO. Not staying it is correct but this what I'm getting from the Nets moves.
How come Nick never brings up that LeBron made most of his finals playing in the far worse conference, while when Jordan was getting bounced off in the early rounds it was against legendary Celtics and Pistons teams?
You know we can’t compare ages straight up. Because one started in the NBA 4 years earlier, so you’re obviously sweeping his early years under the rug from this perspective
The longest teammate is misleading too. Because there were clearly players that did a long time beneath that. Also, LeBron’s only 4 great years came alongside allstars
I’m a a huge Mahomes supporter. But it will knock him down a peg if baby Hurts steals a Super Bowl off him now. His trajectory is postponed and Burrow and Allen start licking their chops
To nicks point on people needing to learn about gambling, I think it’s totally wrapped up in financial illiteracy and poor math skills (especially probability and statistics). If math education in the US somehow made a turnaround it would be incredible to see the problems it could solve
Love your football analysis Nick but your LeBron adulation is not flattering. I’m old enough to have watched both Jordan and LeBron. LBJ is probably the most physically gifted player ever. He is also the most capable scorer ever. That doesn’t make him the most complete player ever. The truth is that he isn’t within the top 10.
I don't believe as time passes if Mahomes were to win say this Superbowl and then retire, that five seasons is enough to be in the top twenty let alone five… Peoplle would come to their senses and those with agendas don't really matter what their opinion is in the long run anyway, which I hate seeing you become Nick but Skips a perfect example of this, no one cares ultimately where he ranks someone he clearly likes or dis likes. And I believe Terrell Davis proves this wouldn't be the case ultimately, who again was the driving force behind two SUPERBOWLS, won both regular season and superbowl MVP's, became the third ever back to rush for over 2000 yards and was unarguably the best back anyone had ever seen his first five seasons, that's true and number back that up…. Yet they said five seasons wasn't enough to put him in the hall of Fame for so long most people believed he'd never get in, and he's no where near anyone's top five or the NFL's official top ten for that matter.
Eagles won a SuperBowl against Tom Brady and the Patriots with Nick Foles at QB. I see how people can pick KC, but don't be surprised if Mahomes is running around on that bum leg and the Eagles defense makes it bad for KC. All I'm saying is picks don't mean a whole lot. It's one game and there have been a lot of times when the better team lost the game.
Soapbox: Maybe its just me, but there have been plenty of SuperBowls over the years that I can't even remember who won. I mean without looking who won in 1998? It's really just one Big Game Spectacle. This Super Bowl week has also been super boring. Might be a snorefest of a game, but hopefully not.
You put a disclaimer on Jordan beating Magic when he was old but not on Lebron beating an old Duncan in his 16th season. Magic was 32 when Jordan beat him. Durant and the Thunder were still young and the Heats big 3 were better at the time than the Thunders big 3. Harden wasn’t no where near an MVP level. He was 6th man of the year.
My all time favorite player is Jim Kelly, who cut his teeth on four straight super bowls, but ultimately gets knocked for not winning on. Obviously making them was why he was great… But not getting the trophy will always be over his head
The criticism to the eagles regarding not having beating a top QB is not valid. They play in the NFC and NFC east where QB play is not has elite has in the AFC. If we are judging a team and going to predict a SB win only based on the QB they play, no NFC team will be favorite or going to win a SB due to the NFC being average and the AFC having elite tier QB. With that said you play your schedule and is you beat everybody in that schedule then that's it.
i feel like nick doesnt realise that the only metric used to measure true greatness is how players perform on the biggest stage. Michael Jordan is the goat because he has 6 finals MVP's, no one else has more than 4. full stop. discussion over. Brady is the best of all time because he has 5 superbowl MVP's. no on else has more than 3. full stop. discussion over. Montana was considered the best before brady came along because, coincidentally, he had 3 superbowl MVP's and no one else had that many up until that time. Mahomes is insanely good and may become the best player in the history of the NFL, but hes got to put the runs on the board, i know Nick wants him to be crowned the best of all time desperately but hes got to win more before we consider him in the disucssion.
the Jaylen Fracture was a blessing in disguise not to get traded by the deadline for KD and split up one of the elite tandems in the NBA today Tatum/Jaylen
I think that the Lebron in the NFL thing is always "can he play TE". To me the funny question would be: can he play QB. He has a huge arm strength (we saw how easily he can make full court pass with a far heavier ball), he's fairly accurate with a round ball, he can clearly see above the line of scrimmage, he would be probably in the very top of QB mobility wise, he has good hand-to-eye coordination, he would be way bigger than any "fast" pass rusher and he's clearly smart and able to play read and react given time to study. So the issue would basically be "could he be accurate enough?". That question is unanswered and curious to me. To play tight end he clearly has both the phisical and the mental tools to do it.
Brons the goat there is no argument
He knows so why hasn't any team hired him as consultant or gm😄
He beat Jimmy butler lol also every one he beat also beat him can you say same about Jordan?
Nets Season ticket holder nick down bad.

The Lebron take looks better and better. Lebron is better than Jordan. 1 and 2.
Just shows nets were operating on spite not logic should have sent Kyrie to Lakers and got them first round picks and have a young roster with incoming future talent.

Ok nick you gave lebron credit for winning titles different teams you give lebron credit for bad coaches why can't manning get same credit
Lebron would have been a better Gronk in football.
What about Steph when he’s just a spot up 3 shooter years 17-23
You know we can’t compare ages straight up. Because one started in the NBA 4 years earlier, so you’re obviously sweeping his early years under the rug from this perspective
Lmao a logical vice
The longest teammate is misleading too. Because there were clearly players that did a long time beneath that. Also, LeBron’s only 4 great years came alongside allstars

Always hatin on Kyrie go get another booster Nick like a good media sellout😂😂😂

Love ya Nick, but you "LeBron=GOAT" argument is just dumb.
Do you think the league made the trade deadline during the Super Bowl on purpose to try to gain ground on the NFL?
some oscar worthy cinematography in this episode 😂

So Nick says Jordan's beginning and end were much worse than LBJ's. But somehow Jordan's career scoring average is 3 points higher than LBJ.
DLO is the most hated player for no reason

Bro not having damonzay here shows how much he carry the show we miss you damonzay
Two things:
1. KC limits Philly’s ground game
2. Mahomes gets his 2.5 seconds to check down
The Eagles are done
Please explain how Sean McDermott is a finalist for coach of the year and Andy Reid is not. That is a joke.

I had no clue Damonza was his kid
Who is Nick looking at lol
If mahomes wins Sunday he is the goat period he'll break records no other QB has since the era of the big dance.

Goat James baby
Why when this guy discusses quarterbacks the Eagles have faced, he conveniently avoids Kirk Cousins? Because we curb-stomped him?
Some of us live in states where we can't gamble legally on sports, so squares are pretty nice nick 🙂 plz remember us
Im sorry but including the cowboys game where minshew had like 5 turnovers as a game the defense gave up that many points seems very dishonest
Mahomes is my favorite player ever but I kinda wanna see the eagles roll the chiefs to see what Nick says
The fact that some people don’t know Damonza is his son makers me wonder if people have ever seen his beautiful wife.
