  1. I would like to see the Lakers move Russ at the deadline that brings back Alex Caruso. He is the type of player you want to put out there during crunch time that can shoot the three, plays great defense, and makes smart plays. You roll out Alex Caruso, Austin Reeves, Rui Hachimura, LeBron James, and Anthony Davis you have rock-solid guard play with LeBron playing Point Forward setting these guys up. Both Alex and Austin are high-motor guys who play both ends. You still have guys like Pat Bev, Dennis SchrΓΆder, Lonnie Walker, Max Christie, Troy Brown Jr., Thomas Bryant, and Weyen Gabriel you can plug and play but I think Alex Caruso is the perfect fit for this team because he does the garbage work like takes charges, scrappy defender, and can push the ball and fit well with how LeBron wants to run the offense in pick n' roll.

  2. Realistically, Raps must only really want to get younger or clear cap space. I’ll take OGs availability with a pinch of salt. Theyre developing Scottie Barnes and meanwhile they could get a haul for one of their aging stars. Can see a Timberwolves/Gobert style deal
Happening for Siakim at some point but I think OG probably last on that list.

  3. In Hindesight, let’s lock up some more Cap space for next season. I see a world where we pay Draymond big bucks next year and yeah let’s not…

  4. If I’m going dream case/realistic…I’d swing a second and maybe even a piece for Cam Reddish or Mo Bamba (future upside) and using Russ and/or Bev to bolster their roster. OG is up there, I’d be good with Hield & Turner, or possibly LaVine and Caruso.

Either way Lebron, AD, Rui, Walker IV, Reeves, Troy Brown, Thomas Bryant, Schroder, is a solid playoff roster that could possibly reach contender status if AD returns to pre-injury form. But add the future upside of Bamba/Reddish along with adding OG’s 3&D or Hield’s 3pt shooting with Turner’s ability to block shots and hit from outside to pair with AD would make them SCARY

  5. man i hate when it is always about trading once you lose few games, LA don't have a bad team , there is good pieces, just work with what we have and that's it. All our players can shoot 3s, so there is possibility to space the floor a lot, there are guys that give all they have like TB, or Reaves, and when all are healthy (especially with AD) we are most of the time on a W streak, and can definitely beat any team

  6. Pau Gasol was the first reason for me to become a Lakers Fan and he is one of my main basketball role models.
I have seen a interview with him and Kobe where they point out the importance of creating passing angles as a pass receiver, especially as a role man in pick n roll situations.
I admire players who work hard on details not many appreciate.

  7. Ideally, if you can get a deal done with Charlotte…sending Westbrook, Pat Bev and a 2nd for Rozier and Haywood…Flipping the two 1sts and a young player (hate to say it) for OG and you manage to do that? That would be perfect to me. but we are the Lakers and we get taxed the most in trades by other teams..also because it’s Pelinka

  8. Keep Troy Br for 3 years, keep Reaves and Lonnie for 3 years, resign Bryant and Hachimura for 3 years. So much bodies for Westbrook and Beverly salaries. I hope they can negotiate. I believe Rob will sign current players and not trying to trade everybody because he made a great job!

  9. We need more shooting and size and youth because we are going to give a 2-year window to get another champion at best. Plus we are not going to recover through the draft. So whoever we get needs to be future trade assistants and long-term players.

  10. Well, the Rumor being that John Collins is available for a couple 2nds, so maybe him. Maybe a 3 team deal that sends Gordon Heyward, MO Bamba, and Terrance Ross to LA, Westbrook, JTA, and Damien Jones to Charlotte, and Rosier to Orlando. Orlando gets a quality vet to help their young guards work on their weaknesses before having his contract mature into something very tradable if they find themselves still rebuilding in a couple years. The Hornets clear 51 mil in cap space for next off-season to back the Brinks truck up for LaMelo and perhaps put a few quality places around him, as OBJ and Plumlee represent another 21 mil off the books at the end of the season, (they could be traded for young prospects players on contenders if they prefer). The Lakers get to plug all their big holes with two quality veterans and a young 3 and D big man who could develop into a 3rd star, or 2nd once LBJ retires. As far as Draft capital goes, I think the Lakers give a protected future 1st and a 2nd to Orlando, Charlotte kicks in another 1st to Orlando, and I'd like to see if we can't get Chicago's protected 1st this year out of Orlando (I'd be happy to add more 2nds and/or extract a 2nd out of Charlotte to Orlando to get that bonus). It looks like Charlotte is having a week market for Hayward and Rosier due to contract length, and they REALLY need the cap room to give Melo a max and still be able to build around him. With the coaching nightmare down there, Charlotte is in real danger of losing Melo to a signed qualifying offer and unrestricted free agency. I think the Lakers might be able to exploit that to get real value at a bargain.

  11. The smart thing to do is to trade Westbrook to get more players because if you let him stay and fall off the books the cap space is extremely smaller than trading him now.

  12. Moving a pass first fast break PG like Russel for a shoot first guy is dumb. We already have Rui. We don't need players that duplicate what he does for OG. We need to be flexible for the off season not overload with mid level guys. All we need is to be healthy. Max is going nowhere. That is just stupid.

  13. Need someone who can hit the floater teardrop coming off a shot fake and make consistently. It is an indefensible shot. Coach Phil needs to work with Lebron and others on this shot. Reaves has it, Hachimura has a nice midrange game, If Shroeder can learn this game he will be greater. This shot has hurt the lakers D so many times. Many of the scoring leaders in the NBA today work and posses it.

  14. The gasoline trade propelled the lakers from a #4 team to a #1 team and title contender. . They went out undefeated for 17 games the day Pau Gasol first started playing as a laker. The most consequential trade in laker history.

  16. Lakers are going after Kyrie after he requested a trade from the Nets. If they can get him for Westbrook and a first rounder, it's well worth it. He wants to play with Lebron again and isn't happy with the Nets because of the Durant injury.
