Armor in tarkov seems relatively straight forward on the surface, but there are aspects of armor in tarkov that are a little bit more involved and harder to understand. When you start looking into the materials the armor is made out of, weight, and durability, things start to get a bit more confusing.
This guide talks about armor in 12.12 and how material types come into play with ballistics, resistance, durability, repairability, motion, and weight.

brave imo is a much better browser dont have all the fancy stuff but overall better.

I switched to Opera GX the exact same time that you did because you said to take the challenge with you. 6 months later and I am still using it as well. My only gripe with it is when it updates, some of your settings go back to default. Also, youtube videos have a small white effect when you mouse over them. I simply made a short script and voila. Other then that, it runs way better then chrome and I like it much better. Thanks for the recommendation Onepeg!!!
After rigorous dying I think Level 5 armour with stomach and thorax is META due to people running 9×19 RIP all the time

Sometimes it's not worth to wear an armor anymore, but ragman would buy it if it was higher durability, so you use the little slider to fix it up just enough to sell it to him.

For some long term survivability hunting down scavs or long raids where I'll take more hits, I always run a trooper and something like the lzsh it's still tier 3 but in aramid the .25 breakdown of the material makes it super durable. Of course that's before you can get the ulach easily accessible
I feel like armor stats are needlessly convoluted… it really doesn't need to have this level of convoluted shit – especially since game nowhere explains to newbies that their bro deal on flea market for 14/14 T5 Ghzel was a terrible purchase…
Sorry if im nitpicking here but at 11:21 you say tv-110 and the 6b5-15 is class 3, but they are class 4, the tv is very similar to the trooper. Or are we not talking armor class at this stage? Did I misunderstand?

The problem with chest only is the super high damage multiplier on a blacked stomach. Shotguns will likely one shot you with even crappy ammo in the stomach even if they don't in the legs. Also 2 of the tier 3 rigs are tier 4, only the press is t3. The tan version of the floral 6b5 rig is t3

So you said the trooper is always out of 85 for the % effectiveness, so then a 40/40 6b13 has a higher chance at stopping a single bullet than a 40/40 trooper? Since they have different max rating?
My favourite is the korund, cost like a trooper, repair new every time and its class 5
You could look at gigabeefs videos on armor, he has made a few of them and they are quite easy to follow.
