Kind of a sidenote but I like the ambiguity of the term Lightfall
Could mean Light is falling i.e. is defeated, or falling in the sense of fully enveloping. Like when we say "at nightfall" we mean when it is night, not when night fails.
Could go either way.
Why destiny lore isnt as interesting as destiny's gameplay and general experience?
Granted this comes from Savathun, but she mentioned that there are multiple Travelers…maybe that’s true, as there are multiple pyramids…
I've always wondered if Traveler is a energy entity of bright essence that's amplified by the construct of this big constructed ball. The agents of dark can weaken it and prolly imprisoned it in the beginng. It now has been on the run, empowering species to fight against "the Sword Logic" but flees when it fears capture.
I just realised that at 0:55 you can see a triangular shadow approach the traveler on the left side

I never read the whole interaction between Rhulk and their “Adversary” (lol the darkness calls light satan that’s rich) but that “conversation” hints that while the darkness is coded male the light might be coded female I wondered that in D1 I hope I’m right in D2 wish they actually had a chat but what they did was cool. The power of the witch is given not taken. Ok witch I’m down for permachristmas 🤣

The speaker did not lie, He said: "I speak for the traveler, I never said the traveler spoke to me" meaning he never told HIM that the traveler spoke to him. An omission of fact isn't a lie. Had Ghaul asked: does the traveler speak to you? and speaker would have said No, then that would be a lie.

Has anyone looked at the way the darkness holds his hands compared to the speaker?
Going back a bit to the Red War really highlights how much the writing has changed. A lot of people didn't like the old writing, but reading the Speaker's lore, it sounds like a real person saying those words. Nowadays it feels like every character is having a competition to see who can speak in the most flowery prose possible. It comes off as really pretentious sometimes.

The Traveller is neither good nor evil. Like the darkness, it's a tool. The Traveller looks out for itself. That's why it has moved from so many aliens species. It doesn't believe we were the best choice, it's just a matter of convenience. The only reason it created ghosts was as a backup plan because Rasputin disabled it with it's weapons. I believe the Traveller will attempt to leave again.

Do you think that, like the pyramids to the Witness, there is someone in control of the Traveler? Perhaps it's the Winower or some other being of light. We know it's somewhat like a machine given what the Traveler looked like with it's peices broken off, so maybe there is a pilot of sorts. Maybe it's another version of what the Witness is given that they can both use ghosts as a conduit to speak through or share visions.

If it is speaking it sounds like it's dying.
Perhaps the traveler in it's infinity and many sides represents small aspects of darkness, for the light is in everything.
If there is an entity for the traveler I want it to a have a godly glow. A white aura.
Keep in mind that none of the lore entries in this game are factual. They are perspectives, nothing more. It's always been that way. Prime examples are entries from members of the hive race. Many of them read like propaganda. The only thing we know to be factual events are what happens to us as players in the game. Even then sometimes, all is not what it appears. Only to be revealed later as not what we thought it was.

Iv heard the theory that the travler is a city, I personally thought the travler was an AI created by a race that was destroyed by the witeness. I could see a fleet of Spheres vs the Fleet of Pyramids and are traveler is just one of the last of its fleet.
Man it's been years but looking back it still pissed me off that Gauls armor wasn't repurposed as a titan set.
I wonder if the dark will be of any use in Lightfall. After Beyond Light we can get a sublass that uses the darkness.
