How One Hit Ended In Tragedy For Ole Miss QB Jevan Snead

Ole Miss Rebels QB Jevan Snead was once projected to be a 1st round draft pick from many experts however after a rough 2009 season and a concussion in the 2010 Cotton Bowl against Oklahoma State, Jevan Snead’s draft stock plummeted to the point where he went undrafted.

  1. To say he died cuz of a hit that took almost 20 years prior is a stretch at the least and a outright lie and cope at best. U said he died suddenly in his jolted in 2019. Funny that’s right when the Covid vax came out. 🤔 that makes way more sense then a hit 2 decades ago that he got up from and continued to play. I mean even if it’s not that I can think of 100 other reasons off hand that makes more sense. Like a opioid overdose. Anyways it’s sad he passed and it’s a shame ur putting the blame on his death to that guy who hit him

  2. 1) I played football from 2002 to 2016, mostly on the Defensive Line, or at Linebacker.
    2) I have had 10 confirmed concussions, and some minor hits that may have contributed.
    3) I am now 35, I have some memory problems. I attributed them to the fact that I use Cannabis frequently for pain but it could be Brain Trauma.
    4) I have had images and investigations done into my issues with balance, mood, and memory. There is no visible sign of damage at this time.
    5) I will always love football, will always continue to encourage others to play the game, and would do everything all over again, even knowing I might have CTE.

  3. One doesnt need to use the helmet to block defender running perdendicularly coz its not running towards the blocker and that he needs to defend himself with helmet from the incoming impact… but sideways!

Its not sportmanship to cause extreme damage that can be diffused the threat simply by grabbing the defender to block him and will have the same result!

Helmet can only be use to block a defender or the offence if they are running toward the blocker! Its unnecessary aggression that only endanger everyone! Its a behavior who doesnt belong to a sport for not able to control themselves at all times and should not be allowed to play football as professional or for fun!

Its a rule that will force players to discipline themselves and will not be tempted do cause injury or death for fun, intention to inflict excessive pain for being a physical abuser by nature or unintentionally because of ignorant on the physics on the mass on the impact when 2 moving object are heading toward each other on an angle than get hit an right angle or an angle heading on the same away!

No bull will allow being blind sided by an attacking bull coz its the weak angle that can break their neck on impact… It needs to meet the attack head on cause the spine can aborb impact not bent!

  4. SO TO SAY, BUT WHO CARES . HE TOOK HIS OWN LIFE. AND IT'S WRONG FOR THIS VIDEO TO PORTRAY THE MORE ATHLETIC PLAYER WHO MADE A LEGAL HIT, THE CAUSE OF HIS DEATH. HE WAS UNDRAFTED AND COULDN'T PULL HIS OWN WEIGHT. HE HAD MANY REASONS TO HATE LIFE, AS FAR AS FOOTBALL GOES .. POINT BEING, HE DIDN'T CARE ABOUT HIS LIFE, WHY SHOULD WE? SOME PLAYERS REALLY HAVE REAL PROBLEMS AND LIVE ON FOR THE BEST.

  5. CTE leads to suicide, just like many of the people may/ may not remember the case of WWE wrestler Chris Benoit. He had CTE in his brain due to passed concussions that were caused from chair shots to the head.

  6. Theres always gonna be players in the game that possess deadly violent tendencies and use the football field as a platform to inflict deadly force when the opportunity presents itself. Not stereotyping all players.
