Ive already gone through the game so here is a tip for the don't get hit achievements or any other achievement with a don't do a thing condition. if you end up doing the thing I.E get hit in a boss. you can go back to the hideout and resume from checkpoint to undo your mistake
I disagree with your opinion on Brutal Legend being bad. But I agree that this looks like it would have been a great upgrade to B.L.'s combat. I feel like a lot of modern ideas could really elevate that game from Amazing to "Metal As Fuck" territory.
