What exactly does "flight-like" mean?

I think they are going to have problems with the launch pad. Seems like it needs steel cladding full of orifices through which water is pumped through to keep it from melting. I give them a 75% chance of getting all 33 running but I certainly hope everything goes perfectly! Once Starship launches SLS will be an irrelevant dinosaur and some would argue it already is. Go SpaceX!
Elon is the best engineer ever. It will launch with minor if any problems the first time. I am an engineer myself and I have done QC for SPACE X IN Austin TEXAS
It would be a very poor show if they could not successfully fill and empty a couple of propellant tanks. This is just noddy compared with an actual launce and nothing to get very excited about.

I was in the Pacific Ocean in 1969 for the Moon landing and return splash down. The first full orbital flight of Star Ship is almost as exciting to me now as the Moon landing was then, because I am seeing us on our way to the rest of the Solar System as we should have been doing back then, go, go SpaceX

Venting methane… one of the worst greenhouse gasses… directly into the atmosphere is a really bad idea.. and not "no big deal" as you are gaslighting us to believe. Responsible methane users have burn towers a safe distance away. Any methane, not recuperated back into the fuel farm, should be piped to one of these towers.
There was some methane release. What impact to the environment did that have?
What about the concrete underneath the OLM? Will it disintegrate and damage the rocket? These are the most important questions at this juncture. And of course there's the FAA license…

Someone xplain…how in the hell do we expect to live in another planet? When no one here on earth gets along? Governement does not take care of its citizens, rich people only care about themselves, poor people can’t get ahead because of governement and taxes, not too mention high prices for basic needs….then all this shit that people keep coming up with, and divides everyone! Anyone has an answer?
As far as I can see, Rocketlab is easily the next most innovative and interesting space company after Spacex, and both companies were started by people without formal engineering knowledge. Just vision, and an ability to find the right people.

The Internet Gods were on my side this morning and I got to view it in true 4K. It practically leapt off the screen. Sharpness was amazing. That was aided by your choice of fonts for titling. I am specifically referring to the font that first appeared at 0:56. The thin black border on these letters made them really stand out from the background which makes for excellent readability. The recycling the Failed Prototype Boosters, I like the Starships too much to sugggest they be cut up, for use as Dragon scales, on the Exposed to the engine exhaust, to protect the Launch pad and tower, would be a good use for the Old Prototype Boosters!

If they get the Deluge system up. The pad will survive with the new concrete. After finding out what kind of concrete it was. I tested some of it. It can hold up to the heat or the presher but not the two at the same time. When heated it drop the load bearing strength of the concrete by half or more. No water equals concrete rain. If I'm wrong they put an additive in the concrete that I don't know about. Which is more than possible. It's actually quite probable. At 200ﾟF it loses half its tensile strength. At 300ﾟit drops to an 8th of its tensile strength. At 350ﾟ I no longer had to use a press. I literally shattered it with a tack hammer. I would do more testing but I'm not sure what hardners can be used with refractory concrete. Because I'm not sure how the hardener works because to be refractory it has to expel all water.
