I think part of the reason Bill trusted Frank so quickly was because he hadn’t had any human interaction in 4 years. He must have been getting lonely. And Frank was unarmed and alone, and seemed friendly from the start. And if Frank did try to pull something, Bill was clearly very resourceful and could probably overtake him. Anyway, this was a great episode!
I spent almost the last 20 minutes of this episode sobbing. This is my favorite episode so far, and Bill got a much better story here than he did in the game. I absolutely loved it.

There are some stylistic touches that are similar.
Such a waste of time for an episode. Oh yay we get a full hour of backstory for gay minor side characters that no one cares about . Neil druckman wants every character to be gay in his games and show now . I'm not against gay people , i have several gay friends and family members and coupd care less but creator just constantly jams it down ur throats so much throughout the 2nd game and now the show

What maded it a bit more believable for me was the fact that he was alone for 4 years before frank showed up. Normally I think it would be weird to get attached to someone so quickly but being by yourself for 4 years + without a connection to someone.. I think it should speed up the need to connect with someone. Good or bad I dont know but just in the defense for them falling inlove so fast.

I'm a straight man and I have to say that was beautiful! Love is love.
I've decided to forget the game while watching this and just accept it for its own entity. It's much more enjoyable instead of comparing it to the game all the time.
I expected this, the developers need to add more lgbt stuff to completely lose my interest in the series
Bill was a badass. Total badass. All the stockpiling he did. Setting the traps. The defenses. Taking a bullet to protect his love and home like a champ. The irony, for the "I'm an alpha male because I say I'm an alpha male" crowd, we know who you are.. is that being gay is what made him such a badass. He grew up ostracized in a world that hated him and he hated in return. Probably spent his whole pre cordicep life bullied by everyone and the apocalypse gave him the opportunity for payback. Until Frank he was never afraid of dying and more than ready to go out in a blaze of glory.

Good show so far. Horrible "rendition" though. So far at least. Hopeful though. This episode was overkill and kinda a waste of the story considering there are only 9 episodes (I believe). I was really, really excited to see how they portrayed Bill and how badass he was. The game set it up and then the show let it down. The beginning of the episode started off really well showing him fortifying his camp. Would have been cool to see Frank still but in a smaller capacity so to speak. The whole scene of Bill helping Joel get the car battery in the game is highly missed! On it's own, this episode is definitely sad AF but kind of uplifting knowing Bill died happy.
Steven being the big sweetie romantic in response to this episode, talking about what would be the point of going on without the person you love, VS. Nikki being the practical one saying she wouldn't want to clean up his body just makes me love you guys more 🤣🥰 Also seeing so many straight male reactors respond without any prejudice or sense of being uncomfortable to this episode and other LGBTQ love stories really makes my old queer so happy and have SO much hope for all of the younger generations (yes, I'm older than you so you're both considered a part of the younger generation to me lol!)
This episode was not it for me. Not gonna lie it was trash, not the Bill most TLOU fans wanted to see.
Frank and Joel share some interesting traits; both guarded off men come out of their enclosed shell and start living again, because another character enters their life. It's also rather symbolic I feel, that of all the guns Bill brought into their house, the one that Ellie picks up, is Frank's gun that is kept separate from the others in the dark basement; a perfect metaphor for Bill's mindset before Frank.
Like he said, none of this is sparking any memory from the game. I've decided to take it like this…
It's a nice backstory of two characters whom might, or might not have much of an impact on the overall story in general.
And people won't like this.. but I felt like this was a whole lot of work to put into characters who are dead.. just to get to the only real relevant thing. The suicide note.
Oh well. Not a great episode at the moment for me. Well done. Well acted. Just doesn't hit the spot.

Great story they made with Bill and Frank. Actors casted are just spectacular too. I'm didnt realize this show was gonna be this good, I really didn't think I'd like it as much as game, but am totally tuned in now. Magnificent
This episode was so bittersweet. What more can we ask for in life than to find love and contentment? A port in the storm that is the chaos of life – fungi zombie apocalypse or not. And to leave life holding in your arms the person that helped to bring you there, is mindbendingly crushing but so hopeful. My god, the quality of the writing, and direction and acting to bring all that into existence.
I've been watching TV shows for many decades. That was one of the most beautiful episodes of any shows I've seen EVER!
Nick Offerman better get an Emmy for that performance!
