I can’t remember the name of the book but do recall of one incident that happened during Japanese occupation. There were couple of soldiers had a still alive man tied up to a tree, they’d cut stripes of flesh off him and feed it to their dogs.
In hindsight, maybe they should of gone a little harder? 🤯
One of my specialties is East Asian History
This history record ought to be preserved forever to reminds us and most importantly the Japanese citizen of their country's past dark and ugly history. Those who don't remember history are bound to repeat the ugly history.
I haven't been in East Asia in a while, but while I was there, everyone still hated the Japanese. The Imperial Japanese Army consisted of turning a man into a zombie and then into a monster.

Japanese Americans were put in concentration camps to protect their relatives still living in Japan from being used as ransome to force Japanese Americans into spying and espionage! To hear them complain is a form of denial of Japanese culture at that time, even though it was embarrassing for them to endure, it also protected Japanese Americans from racist revenge from Americans
My grandma was living in that city during ww2 and when this happened she and her family ran away to the mountains of Northern china
A forgotten story. An event not known with many people, that deserves far more attention.
