Paula: "Are you going to kill me?"
Carol: "I hope not."
This could be a turning point for Carol's character. She might have done what she had to do on "the kill floor" but we might not see her kill again, anytime soon… We shall see.
We adored this episode aswell, so intense and filled with so many messages, and as much as Carol and Paula were similar, there was still major differences.

Hey u guys should watch the Walking dead world beyond Season 1&² only 2 m fast season to watch wanna kno wht u guys think bout that show but watch it when u guys get up to season 8 of the TWD n love u guys YouTube watch u guys every day
We are negan 😂😂😂😱……. Carol is just dangerous, Maggie is also a badass to
I love rewatching these episodes because I just noticed 2 things that I don't recall noticing before and theyre kind of awesome.
The angry brunette that protected Maggie's baby. I didn't recall her having lost a finger for stealing something. Knowing who she works for this makes sense to me. But the cooler thing happens in the same conversation. She got in trouble for stealing a car so she could go look for her dead boyfriend. And she tells her that there wasn't much left to find because somebody blew him up………. I seem to recall Daryl blowing a bunch of these people up with a rocket launcher.
The best show ever made
Glad you both enjoyed this episode.
Carol should have got an "Emmy Award" for her acting in this episode alone, we saw so many emotions and clever faking mixed with real emotions with her trying to protect Maggie and the baby and probably her protective "mother" instinct kicking in again as Toby called her, looking out for the group, those she loves.
She started of with the meek little voice act over the walkie-talkie talking to Rick. Then cleverly lets their captors know "It doesn't matter what happens to me – just don't hurt Maggie. Don't hurt the baby", so sets that up nicely. Then by finding the crucifix with rosemary beads on the floor (probably left by a former prisoner/captive) of this former slaughterhouse (the saviours used to hide/stash weapons and stuff and rigged it with walkers to protect it), Carol palmed it in her hands knowing they'd see that symbol as a sign of weakness which Molly did mocking her "your one of them", but Carol always planned to use it later after we see her filing it sharp on the floor to cut through the duct tape around her wrists. She went on to perform an Oscar, a good piece of acting and so called "panic attack" and "hyperventilating" that actually had Maggie frowning and looking confused and strangely at Carol. If it was me I'd be saying loudly and thinking 🤔 "YOU GOOD", but poor Maggie you could see was wondering is this for real, and is she OK, earning Carol the nickname by Molly "nervous little bird", to the point Maggie screamed at them to take the gag out of her mouth "she's "hyperventilating" and it worked and was Carol's plan all along. It was great, Carol thanking them Paula calling her "pathetic" and "I see exactly who you are Carol, I know…your pathetic". Carol then tries to relate to them saying it helped her through her daughter Sophia's death and so good were the tears at this point it confused most people, we were like is this real or fake?
Then she tried intel' about who NEGAN was and Molly saying "we are all Negan" and she was saying she didn't understand etc., Paula mocks her saying she couldn't stick to her own principles and Carol basically tells her you don't want me…, then asks Carol if she's going to kill her, I loved the response, Carol replies "I hope not" which was chilling.
Then her and Maggie work together, half rigged up the walker to attack whoever walks through that door. We gasped when Michelle (Saviour) slashes at Maggie's stomach with a knife and Carol ends it by shooting her in the head. Probably sees a bit of herself in Paula and may have sympathised with her when she heard her story about her husband and 4 daughters, but she wouldn't accept Carol's offer to just "walk away" and is forced to defend herself against Paula and kill again. Loved Carol imitating Paula's voice telling the other two over the walkie-talkie to "meet us on the kill floor" and sets those two alight finally letting her guard down when our group burst through the door and poor Maggie hugging Glenn telling him she couldn't do it anymore and Carol telling Daryl she wasn't OK. I think they both found this situation quite traumatising.
Enjoyed your reaction and glad you looked at it from both perspectives because by this point myself and co' thought we probably have more blood on our hands than the other way around, but I agree, Rick does it out of protection for his children and the rest of the group he said are his family and doesn't just kill for the fun of it.
I actually really liked Paula. Sad she couldn’t have joined the group or something of the sort.
i love how the saviors think that carol is crying because she is scared of getting hurt, when in reality shes is scared to hurt THEM lol
I love watching you theorize about Negan. The humanization of the characters has to come, it's no different with Carol.
no, this is just a minor prelude to the season ending. lines are being drawn. some will rise. some will fall. but who? the good guys or the bad guys? i always put my trust in the Colt Python….. good jobs guys….. it is coming……
Nice
I am so excited for you to meet the main man Negan.
Carol is amazing, but she is definitely having a hard time. Can't wait for the next episodes. Get ready , wait there is no getting ready.🧟♂️🧟🧟♂️🧟♀️
I really love Melissa McBride (Carol Peletier)
She was originally supposed to be killed off in season 1 but her performance resonated with the fans and the writers decided to keep her on. I’m so grateful for that. Her character arc is one of the absolute bests. Going through so much trauma and growth.
How Melissa (Carol) and Andrew (Rick) haven't won any award is truly astounding. Their acting is phenomenal.
That aside this episode I never really liked for some reason. Can't put my finger on it but on reruns I usually skip it. BUT, watching it with you guys I gained a bigger appreciation for it.
The beauty of reaction videos.
I cannot wait to comment on a certain matter.
Shit is hitting the fan so much the poo shower is coming.
Cheers guys ♡
Actually "legion" is latin for legion^^
You guys crack me up! 😂😂😂 in a good way 😂😂❤❤ No spoilers but, soon… I’m not looking forward to it but I can’t wait for you guys to get there😅😅 you guys are awesome! I JUST SIGNED UP TO YOUR PATRON!!!!!!!!!😊 (no I’m not drunk….yet)😂😂😂
I honestly can't believe you've made it to this point qithout knowing who/what Negan really is. I'm jealous! It's such a MASSIVE pop culture … thing.
From what we've seen so far, there is a distinction between our group and the Saviours. The Saviours introduce themselves by killing someone and from then they talk half of everything you have, and not just once. They keep taking half. Rick's group are wary of newcomers, and they're not above pre-emptive strikes to defend themselves, but their default is not kill someone and then keep stealing what they have. There are other differences, too. If Negan is a person, he's a leader who sends his minions in to do his dirty work. Rick leads from the front and doesn't ask his people to do things he won't do himself. There's also something in the name – the "Saviours" is either a sick joke, or else it's a terrifying delusion. If Negan and his pals really think brutally murdering someone (Jesus said they beat a sixteen year-old to death in front of everyone) and taking half their people's stuff forever is "saving" them then they're Governor-level batshit…
Just gonna leave another comment…
Check out SKYBOUND channels reaction compilations for Season 6 finale and Season 7 premiere, after you watch them. It's sooo worth it to see how a bunch of others reacted, did they react like you? The editing is really good, too!
True, Paula would've been a great addition to the main cast!
Just 1 of the many reminders. Your world is gonna get a whole lot bigger – jesus
Remember this cuz each season v realise even 1% of world's population is a frigging lottt
I love how u compared rick to negan . Cuz honestly we all ask if we are the good guys. But end of the day its just who are better people. And our guys have proven multiple times that they are the "better guys"
I can’t wait for you guys to get to the end of this season!!! I am sure you won’t be able to leave it and watch the first episode of next season too.
I think it so interesting to see the progression of what our group is willing to do to protect themselves. There was a time they couldn't bring themselves to turn over michonne to the governor even though they knew nothing about her. Now they have reached a point where they kill a group of people that they know nothing about except they are a potential threat. Not saying it's right or wrong, I see both sides, it's just fascinating to see
"If THIS isn't season finale-worthy, what is?"
shooketh
This episode was a great mirror of Carol and Maggie with Paula and Chelle. They saw a mirror image of themselves on the other side.
Next one is one of my favorites of this season. There’s a lot of Rosita in it.
Hey you guys! So so ready to get to this to answer all your questions!!! May not really want to know who Negan is! Hahaha! Keep on you guys, these few episodes is where the fork comes in the road for TWD! Love your reactions! Also, I think Carol was real….she's feeling guilt for all who she has killed and really don't want to kill any more, JUST like Morgan!
Re watching this episode with you guys made me really appreciate it ! I actually quite liked Paula !
I have always loved how Carol plays up and acts innocent and harmless so that she can turn the tables, yet at the same time, the very fear of doing what she needs to do makes her hyperventilation real. This little woman isn’t afraid of these people, she’s afraid of herself. And she embraced even that for her survival.
You have a great read on how the saviors differ from Rick’s group, and you are right about whether or not we should have hit the place we did last episode. Preemptive strike is not an immoral action in this context. Our survivors would have met these saviors eventually, one way or another. Based on what Hilltop said about them, they are ruthless crooks, in a way that our group is not.
All of this being said, it did seem pretty easy for Rick to kill that last savior right in front of him. Has he become cold in some way that Carol has not? Is Rick just really overconfident right now? He was pretty arrogant about whether or not they would succeed last episode… Not to say he didn’t plan or be cautious, but he was pretty sure of himself. It was Michonne and Maggie who were more concerned about the cost.
