  1. O que me faz perguntar este vídeo …se foram no passado à Lua com menos tecnologia …porque não andar outra vez com humanos, hoje, com tanta tecnologia de ponta?! Será que o Universo modificou a sua leveza? , a Lua e os ingredientes que o constituem são diferentes, mudaram?!! Interessante vídeo… Os raios cósmicos continuam a acautelar os cientistas!! Uma missão incrível à nova vizinha Lua …mas não deixa de ser impressionante a variedade de corpos que constituem o Universo poucos elementos quimicos que se aplica também ao nosso planeta 99,25% apenas a 9 elementos… as descobertas espaciais terão sempre o electrão e uma pequena massa de neutrinos não nos podem impedir que impedem o fecho do Universo? de nos abrir as portas do conhecimento e exploração espacial …tal como nos descobrimentos maritimos, não é?!

  2. I just don’t understand why nasa is doing all of this tests for radiation like it’s the first time we’re heading to the moon if we been there before don’t we already done similar tests before the Apollo missions?

  3. Alex, thank you so much for your well thought out video as always. Astrum is one of the very few youtube channels I allow my children to watch. My three year old is autistic and can identify every planet, dwarf plant, and moon in the solar system thanks to you. What most fascinates me about space travel is that we as humans seem to become one, no wars (so far), no prejudice, just grit, joy and comradery.. the best human traits seem to come out in space. Many astronauts have commented that while out there, home is not one's country, but the Earth, something we all share.

  5. to your introduction: curiousity does exist. It can motivate SOME apes to walk to the next valley. A minority, really. Any bigger projects outa curiousity? No.

    mankind's major drive: "Do NOT die". Just have a look at the leaps of technology in wartime to see this in action. Our minor drive: "Do not die POOR". That's it. We as a species / society NEVER do anything great/big without these motivations. Not too many individual greatness, either. For example, I cannot imagine our 9.90 second 100 meter dashes in a world where top level athletics does not pay well.

    If exploration and new frontiers and all those (no doubt) epic sounding reasons were enough, we'd have reached the Moon (for example) way sooner. And we sure would NOT have stopped going to the Moon. And our space agencies would have bigger budgets than our militaries do. And so on.

  6. I dont't understand. Since americans went on the moon in '69 and several times the years after, most of the questions addressed by the present video should have been answered by these apollo missions ? Why do humans have to start again everything from scratch ?

  7. I was at the testflight of Artemis one as well as at quite a few different shuttle launches. I've noticed that for some reason SLS doesn't hit as hard in the chest when it launches. That was one of my favorite things about the space shuttle! When it launched you would feel an impact in your chest and a deep rumble. It surprised me how tame the shock waves from SLS are! This is a testament to the engineering that has gone into the rocket. The shock waves on the surrounding area are not near as violent even though the vehicle is larger.

  8. Still don't understand why NASA hasn't used the Kerbal approach for not losing communication. All I did was put a satellite in polar orbit around the moon and its dedication is strictly communication.

  9. I love your videos. However, I'm surprised that you would use the analogy of Christopher Columbus as the intrepid explorer discovering new, mysterious worlds, despite the fact that millions of people with profoundly rich cultures had been living in the Americas for millenia. It's a pretty antiquated, outdated (and, to some, offensive) narrative that I don't think is given the same credit that you give it anymore, especially in the scientific and scholarly communities. Just FYI…

    As if getting to the moon in 2023, 50 years after the first ascents, is anything special.

    This thing is just stupid. NASA wasting millions for test flights is stupid. You already have the fucking data since the 60s ffs.

  11. As usual it's NASA doing the heavy lifting. Billionaires play with their toys in low earth orbit and merely stand on the shoulders of truly great engineers and explorers who preceded them. Go NASA!
