Well you want your livestock to stay alive ? Then you move away..not the bears…. THEYVE BEEN THERE THOUSANDS OF YEARS AHEAD OF US !! But mostly because humans can survive anywhere but these bears cant survive elsewhere..
Unprotected chicken coup will become victims of foxes, raccoons or opossums in New Jersey. So the key word is unprotected. Having chickens unprotected is like having cash sitting on the front yard with a sign that says CASH HERE, and expecting no one to grab it in Columbus OH.
If she is killing 50 bears are year they are doing something wrong. Again I"m from Alaska and know bears. They are doing something wrong, They are not relocating far enough away. Something is wrong at 50 years. Or something in the nearby wood is attracting the bears to that area. Oh, don't hunt in bear country without a 44-45 and bear spray.
It never gets old in TV Land! The white man’s fantasy to act out his aggression while movies imply we get to emotional to even voice our disdain! TV Land is mucked up!
I believe that last Griz was a paid actor, "Okay Zeke…now give us one right by the camera…" I kept thinking of all the Far Side comics I'd seen years ago…like two bears looking down at a rifle on the ground, "Thunderstick you say? That, my friend, is a Winchester 30.30!"
The story of the LnC expedition encounter with the first bear is worth a read. I’ll just say their first encounter left them overconfident for what was to come. Lol.
We are living in all of these animals habitat/homes. We need to learn to live with them. It's not their fault we have taken over their territory. I loved all of these episodes, thank you for sharing!
If there's a threat to human safety the bear gets killed. Meanwhile they just build a community next to the Forrest threatening the bears safety. That's why Africa so special black ppl was put on this earth to live amongst the animals. Europeans arrived on earth to slaughter everything that breathes and make excuses to their means.
Seems really dumb to build a place in bear territory then complain when the bears continue to feed in their territory. I think we, people, needs to learn that we are a small part of Nature, not the master of It. In nature, other than need (food/ survival) we have no rights.

Bears are not hard to live with- it's the massive Human population that keeps growing- that is causing the problem!!
