Alright the Bad Bad Season 2 Episode 5 is now out. In this video we’re gonna be breaking down the new episode, talking about all the star wars easter eggs and the hidden details that you might have missed in the 20 minute entry.
There’s clear allusions to Indiana Jones, The Fifth Element and even a bit of Horizon Zero dawn I think and I can’t wait to get into it. First though blah blah blah thumbs up blah blah blah.
With that out the way, I’m your host Paul aka Benedict Cumberbatch now let’s get into the video.
Now the episode is called Entombed and we start very much in the same way that we end. We catch the batch in a junkyard which is later mirroed by the destruction that comes at the end. Here we catch Omega and Wrekcer hunting for parts which is when she comes across a dial that works as a compass.
This ends up being similar to a Sith Wayfinder which we saw Kylo using in Rise Of Skywalker.
You might notice that Wrecker has even more colour in his uniform this episode and it shows how they’re slowly diverting from the imperical mentality. I have discussed this in our other videos and the Empire very much have the colour dialled down to being grey, black and white. Even Commander Cody who donned orange in the movie had his stuff scaled back to being grey whereas the Bad Batch have gained more colour. This shows how they’re breaking free and becoming rebellious, refusing to conform to the lack of diversity in the Empires uniforms.
Now they also get a compressor and this looks like its from a ATR-6 Assault Transport.
From here we cut to Cids parlour to catch Wanda Sykes Phee Genoa.
Know her? Course I don’t know her I just met her.
She’s spinning a yearn to the Weequay and Ithroian who I only learned this week were actually named Ketch and Bolo. This idea of going off on a wild story is very much built into Phees character and come the end of the episode we see her back to her old tricks doing the same thing to Omega. We learn that she’s a pirate that refers to herself as a treasure hunter and this is very much mirrored in Doctor Aphra. Aphra made her debut in Star Wars comics and she’s often described as being Star Wars’ answer to Indiana Jones.

Horizon Forbidden West was the second thing I thought of (after the Moraband temple laser) when the mecha-beast was activated. I've only ever seen the LEGO version of the Tallneck, but that was definitely the vibe.
The planet looked a little like Nathema and Ziost after the emperor consumed them from SWTOR
This episode felt pointless
They rode in a big pokemon
I thought we were encountering Rakkata technology for a bit. Then it turned into Breath of the Wild
Making money is an action. Keeping money is behavior, but “growing money is wisdom”. I found this out a week ago after getting a $10,000 return on my $3,000 investment in 7 days.
The Bad Batch in the Temple of Doom😄
I'm so glad you bringing up the Zeffo, because that's what I though when I saw the giant machine. To me, its technology and design resembled the big robot-statues guarding different parts of the Zeffo temples and tombs in Fallen Order, which was an ancient race so maybe IT'S ALL CONNECTED 👀
Watchable and visually stunning but weakest episode yet. Hope to get back to the main storyline and hope to get Crosshair back soon. Hope to also get Ahsoka.

Like the blah blah thumbs up blah blah blah lol
The episode was fun, but I just wish we get some episodes with a bigger scope
I feel like they tease us with this one-shot story episodes. Like they know some of us are waiting to see what happens in the long-term story next, but they're just like, "Nope, not this week." I like these episodes, though. They remind us that they're struggling to make ends meet and just exist, while keeping the adventures going strong.
Lmfao! “Lost in space” 😂
Favorite Easter egg was omega hand gestures as they were removing the heart of the mountain. It mimics the guy that goes with Indy into the temple in Riaders of the lost arc
Take the route with all the murder/death/kill booby traps or……….take a side tunnel? Easy.
The big machine thing reminds me of the Tallnecks of the Horizon videogames. At least visually
I thought it was going to be a sith temple with the dark side sucking the life out of everything to become more powerful and being trapped inside
This episode reminded me of so many things, they went through the trials from the last crusade to find the arkenstone from the hobbit
It screamed Lara Croft rip off for me. Still a fun episode. Also half expecting that machine to reappear in a future episode
Loved this ep a great trip down memory lane for all us Indy, Lara and 5th Element fans. Now is it me but Phee Genoa is very much the female version of Hondo (Ok not bad polish accent LOL) shes great at telling tall tales and getting our group in trouble.

Is there going to be a more over arching plot to this season? So far, it's been mostly or all episodic which I'm starting to not like. They just go back to Cid where she "has another mission" for them.
The weapon reminded me a lot of the giant warrior in Nausica

Zeffo are back
This felt too impactful for such a filler episode. All that old tech and stuff was very interesting. Feels like it won't be addressed though

One thing no one spotted was Phee Genoa almost outing herself as a Jedi.. just before asking Wrecker to help her move the debris blocking the entrance to the mecha. She also says: "There's always a way out, you just have to find it", which sound very Obi-wan/Plo Koon to me!
She also carries a sword..
Just before the episode ends, when phee is talking about the the kingdom of elweys, you can hear Starkiller's theme from The Forece Unleashed
Mr wanna be Cumberbatch, I DON'T LIKE that noah character. She irritates us. Even for that the show was great, I'm glad to see grumpy old Hunter back in grumpiness and Wrecker, being Wrecked. This season looks clearer, everything has more detail. the poor little box droid got fried, another sad moment, but we'll get over it. This is one of the better ones an 8/10. Thanks so much.
