I got to play the new Hogwarts Legacy gameplay early and decided to make an Evil Harry Potter in character creation. Here are my first impressions and early review of Hogwarts Legacy part 1.

In this video review of Hogwarts Legacy gameplay on PS5 I will walkthrough Hogwarts starting with new character creation; including hair colour and hair styles where I create Harry Potter (which was a mistake) We did not get to choose our house but you will be able to choose from Slytherin, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Gryffindor and access their common rooms, quests and outfits depending on your decisions. We will fly around via broom stick through Hogwarts Legacy’s open world and take a look at Hogsmeade and the quidditch pitch in the distance. I will show you what happens when you try to attack other students at Hogwarts and walkthrough the side quest mirror puzzle. I will show you the conversation choices and dialog options and their impact on Hogwarts Legacy’s gameplay. As part of this early access Hogwarts Legacy review I will explain how you can be either good or evil when you play the game yourself. I only got a very brief hands on first impressions of the Hogwarts Legacy gameplay so can only share what I have experienced so far. Please don’t think of this video as a full review of the game.

Glad to see the repairing the bridge at the end was animated. I've seen a few other gameplay ones when they did that it just popped back in to existence and I was worried that hadn't bothered with the animation like you see a lot in Fantastic Beasts trilogy.

I have a feeling that this game will be another casual one, and there won't be much to do in the "big" world, mostly repetitive, side quests.

The characters don't really have much life in there faces when talking so far, also the open world looks bland and empty so far ,I think I'll wait for a bit maybe for a sale.

Fuuckkk, why can't we cast spells on random npc??? Even in order of phoenix in 2005 for ps2 we could cast spells on teachers and students!!!! …. There is no explanation for that!!! In order of phoenix if you cast a spell in a teacher, you get punished and if u cast a spell on a student, some of them run away and others start a duel immediatly… Why in 2023 we can not do it???? First was quidditch and I take it… Now this… Explain me please!
You can see all the hard work the developers put in this game as there’s so much detail. I can’t wait until the game releases!
The Elder Scroll VII : WINTERHOLD LEGACY
Nothing about this game, that I've seen from this preview, looks like it's set in the 1800s. Clothing, hairstyles, mannerisms/etiquette, speech, etc. Why would they even bother setting it in that period if they're not going to make any effort to stay genuine to it? They should have set it in the 1990s or 2000s instead, and just made it 'alternative reality' (if Harry Potter never existed) OR set it in another wizarding school in another part of the world.
Cool to see I'm not the only one going dark right out of the gate. This is the first game I have pre-ordered in over a decade. 🤘😎🎸🎮

Something that is concerning to me is that they don't really show a lot of activities, other than the collecting pages and duelling. Yes you can brew potions and craft stuff, but have we seen how that's going to play out? seems like they are afraid to show more than snippets of what's there, and that makes me think there`s not a lot there :/ able to fly everywhere is nice. but the swimming? really, common guys there are loads of games that have that. not ground breaking.. I'm really hyped for the game, but also scared that it will be yet another game that seems promising, but comes up short with lack of content after 20hrs. its even getting a day one patch -.-
Really disappointed to see him supporting Harry Potter content after everything JK has said and done. I get it you love the IP but it’s still supporting her and she’s been quoted on record saying that people that support this game is prove that what she says is fine
