It’s not schadenfreude it’s solipsism. schadenfreude is when something bad happens to someone else and you take pleasure in it. It means shameful joy. Solipsism is the belief that you exist and everything and everyone else is just your minds creation. Louis is a national treasure for the US and Mexico. He has handled his stumble better than most. He could have allowed it to consume him and let his ego and intelligence shield him, but he seems like he has used his mistakes and public shame as fuel to become a better person and more appreciative of life.
