Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake Rumors, Bluepoint, Spiderman 2, New World Explodes – Games News Wrapup

What do you think? The videogame news wrapup with Konomi Metal Gear 3 remake rumors(possibly Virtuous) as well as Castlevania, Sony bought bluepoint, Spiderman 2 to be “darker”, New worlds and more.
The metal gear rumors are connected to what I heard a while ago and now with the composer flub up saying that he was working on something special and that video removed, Eurogamer hearing some of the same, VGC. Its not for sure but its interesting to discuss. Also some silent hill rumors out there

  1. For the server stuff. It's not just a matter of "not prepared" it's also a financial thing. If launch week you can support 100% of your players, then you are going to have wasted a lot of money. Because when that falloff happens you'll have a bunch of servers doing nothing.

  2. Who the hell wants a MGS3 remake? I want it remastered! I want to play the classic subsistence version on a modern console (or maybe pc) with some better textures and in a higher resolution!

  3. When you look at mmorpg launches like new world in this case the server problems and queue thing is always there at launch rush. It just happens every time when a mmorpg launches. Even if they would not start new servers things will calm down after a month or 2 when the player count declines and people dont play as much at once. Having more servers isnt usually the best solution because it means that when this launch rush the servers end up not being populated enough for people to enjoy and players also dont like server merges either. With mmorpgs you need to just weather the launch rush and server problems it causes and be happy that after that things get better. If you don't like that it might be better for you to consider that the game actually launches after 2 months and buy the game then.

  4. After the dumpster fire called MG Survive, Contra: Rogue Corps, and eFootball (plus tons of questionable decisions like cancelled Silent Hills, removed P.T from PSN, fired Kojima and removed his name from all his games, etc), it’s just clear that Konami doesn’t have the talent nor have a single clue of making good games anymore. Konami is pretty much a walking corpse.

  5. The wife and I downloaded Marvels Avengers when we noticed it on GamePass. I had heard bad things (my wife had no clue) and we were both thoroughly disappointed. No interest in the story and the multiplayer was incredibly disappointing. It was deleted from our systems shortly after.

  6. I think the darker tone in Spider-Man 2 could be referring to Kraven as well, as the comic book storyline Kraven's Last Hunt is incredibly dark (won't spoil anything here). I don't think they will fully adapt that storyline (I've adjusted my expectations ever since Disney bought Marvel), but at least some of the themes could be explored.

  7. I want to play most of the games releasing this month but none of them are day-one buys for me. Especially Far Cry 6 bc I know Ubisoft will throw that on sale almost immediately as they're one to do.

  8. Downloaded Scarlet Nexus and noticed a bevy of smaller interesting new indie titles just arrived on Gamepass — i feel like some of this influx may be Xbox’s massive studio stable starting to pay off …. Continue to be blown away by GP

  9. Would really like to see you do a review of The Eternal Cylinder. Very unique game that is not getting ANY coverage from gaming outlets at all, because it was barely marketed. The game was a long time in the making from the Rock of Ages and Zeno Clash developers. Both very trippy games, and The Eternal Cylinder is right up that alley. Art direction reminds me of Spore and Brutal Legends mashed together with a very unique spin on survival mechanics.
