  2. When me and my bros on our server found out that M855A1 couldn't pen / 1-tap a helmet over 70m away we vowed to stop running M4s and TXs this wipe. This change is phenomenal since the TX is one of my favorite semi guns in the game and my preferred SBIH weapon.

  15. Quick note. On 556 (m995 ) IRL. It travels at about 1,000m/s. Not 1,200. That’s a significant difference. I think you might be referring to foot pounds of energy. That’s about 1,200

    Had it been traveling at 1200 m/s… it would get around 1,400 to 1,500 foot pounds of energy. Outclassing much higher calibers.

  19. Damage and pen dropoff is to extreme, I hope is not the case anymore. I could not kill rogue usec with headshot from 650m away, his usec baseball cap was to strong, he tanked like 15 BT rounds form sv-98 until i gave up wasting 1200rubles per shot. 78 Damage bullet lost enough power to not deal 40 damage and in that many shots. We know it is possible to kill someone with that caliber over 1000m, but in tarkov there is no chance. Dude killed person form 1300m with 7n1(our PS) using SVD so exactly twice as far as my bullets where turning in to rubber bullets

  24. This is good because I have been shot in the head with the camin helm and survived a total of 8 headshots befor I finally died was nice for me but that guy is definitely pissed

  29. I think that over 75 meters it shouldn't one tap for balance reasons. There needs to be more of a place in the meta for bolt actions etc and currently 5.56 dominates at short, medium, and long ranges. Which invalidates a ton of other weapons.

    At least with previous change it only dominates at short and medium ranges.

  31. i'd appreciate that free muzzle velocity 1200m/s is pretty fucking fast 🙂 not as silly as some comments i've heard but i was a little amused

    edit: also the change wasn't related to penetration it was the damage, which is backwards to how it should be in person, you need the velocity to go through armor but once it goes through it should still be tearing through you the exact same as we're not very bulletproof, having these meta ammos sitting really close to 40 damage and then having damage falloff make it penetrate but only do 25 head damage etc was stupid

  36. I just typically roll with the changes..if I need to adapt my playstyle or run different things I usually enjoy finding a new way to be effective..I'm fine with it either way
