Might want to look forward to Surviving the Abyss. I saw an ad from this and noticed it was from Paradox, so I'm following it for now.
Based on its description, I was expecting Aquatico to basically be Frostpunk set in the sea, which would've been awesome. This is very disappointing 🙁
Mac, you should play Against the Storm. It's great.
It takes me out that the buildings doesn't look like they can stand any kind of water pressure
Honestly all the survivors complaining about poor lighting and lack of entertainment or whatever makes sense to me. Chances are its the mega rich who survived the flood, and just judged on Elon Musks original mars mission brief, with restaurants/gaming arena/purpose built theatre on the actual ship… well doesn't get more idiotic than that when it comes to resource management.
Great vid
We had underwater city builder in Anno 2070 Deep Ocean.
Give me convenience, or give me death.
Man we need big open world with a city builder what explore own city play as npc for role-playing.
Both underwater and on land.
Surprised you didn't compare this to Surviving Mars since this is a VERY direct knock-off, you can see that in the interfaces, building types, and mainly the interface.
Nice review ! =)
oi, Mack, hit up stronghold crusader HD for the nostalgia and see if it holds up 20 years later
I tried the demo of this via steam and it felt exactly like another city builder called Patron only with a under the water theme modded on top of it.
OSphobic game.
Couldn't deal with this game, too much bluefin a game set in the deep blue, the UI is too much blue.
Aaah the old "Help we are dying"
Karen: But where's my christmas lights, right NOW" 1/10 – Karen, I would leave but I need to speak manager first.
hate that about city survivals about SURVIVING!
Sort of Frostpunk I guess
Will you review "Surviving the Abyss" soon? it came out yesterday
There is No Such thing as "Corel Reeves"
I was looking at this game a couple days ago and the lack of anything tying the story to the actual game-play, put me off as well.
Where are the sunken cities, buildings, etc…?
Where is the desire to see the sun again? Ocean platform structures?
I guess the main HQ can have that but not the player?
A relaxing time-sink/city builder but, the backstory is just weak. *See Cliff Empire. 🙂
Mack – have a look at Songs of Syx
Anno 2070 underwater building part looked very similar, did it had depth, not much.
Looks like a re-skinned Mars city builder similar gameplay to Surviving Mars.
You should try submarine titans.
Its a really good RTS game!
Too blocky. There's way too many city builders out there, the competition is too high. Square bases just don't cut it any more. The idea that sharks would try to smash your bases is ridiculous too.
perfect.spekaing of aquatic games .dave the diver ealry acceess jut game out.i heard its amazeballs
Uncle Mack next time if you Streaming Medal Of Honor Allied Assault please do Single-Player campaign.
Looks like the underwater part of Anno 2070
On the topic of underwater city builders, what are your thoughts on Surviving the Abyss?
surviving the abyss
Mack, try Surviving the Abyss! That looks exactly like you wanted this game to be
Yeah i despise the luxary goods,
im not giving you a diamond ring at the end of the world.
