  1. Boehly is part owner of the LA Dodgers which is a MLB team. In the MLB, there is no FFP or, in US sports, a salary cap so, MLB owners can spend as much as they want. It's not unheard of to see good players sign multi hundred million dollar contracts for 10+ years because of it. Most US sports like the NHL, NBA, and NFL have the aforementioned salary cap that prohibits mega deals by rich teams but, teams can work around it with clever contractual verbiage. However, the Dodgers are one of the more liquid teams because of their pedigree – like the Yankees or Red Sox – and location; who wouldn't want to play ball in sunny Los Angeles.

  2. I’ll probably get some backlash for my starting lineup vs Palace but with J7, Longstaff & Willock as the midfield 3 I’d actually start Murphy on the wing and keep St.Maximin & Isak on the bench so that we have more than one top quality option on the bench. If we start Maxi on the wing then we only have one quality option on the bench with the rest being bang average.

  3. Hey Mr. Bazz, If not having enough room for new players is a major blocker for getting new players in, is there a possibility that we could pay partial wages to players to get them out the door to make room for these better players? I don't see an incentive for these players to leave. If their paycheck will not be this high at the next club, this is reason enough for them to stay. Really dont see teams that far down there wanting to pay this high wages.
