The Commons Business Committee is hearing evidence from Communication Workers Union general secretary Dave Ward and assistant secretary Andy Furey, as well as Royal Mail chief executive officer Simon Thompson, and Post Office chief executive Nick Read.
Questions will focus on potential routes to resolution over strikes, and the “cyber incident” declared by Royal Mail recently – in which it urged customers not to send post abroad until matters were resolved.

How good was Dave ward!
He should be the CEO
Dave ward acts like a top ceo, the other guy has the persoona of a librarian
Hedge funds are probably behind it!
Trumpets @ 3:37
With Royal Mail losing millions (745m so far) I don't think Royal Mail will Be around next year
I had a parcel collect which was a letter and the post box was outside of their block of flats….
The vote yes sign was quite childish and it might mess up our ballot
It is an absolute disgrace to hear CEO earning half million pounds plus year, while the vast majority of the workforce are earning a 10th of their salary. Its time for the nation to wake up and stand up for change.
Well done Dave
Thompson as to go
Royal Mail is “losing over a million a day”…
Royal Mail gave £400m in Dividends to Share holders…
There’s 365 days in a year (366 in leap years) BAMF!!! Found it again! 😉
1:10:11 spot on.
55:55 still a fair bit away from the circa £8m Rico pocketed for his two years at the helm of the Group.
Worst thing was to privatise RM. It will continue to decline, and the only people that will benefit until the end will be the shareholders.
Morrisons has improved greatly since Slippery Simon Thompson left and was employed by Royal Mail Group to annoy the workers and Unions there
I worked through the pandemic as a key worker, I got nothing.
It's an absolute disgrace but thing is these answers are the essentially the same we hear day in and out in parliament house , get all these clowns out and replace them with more people like the select committee more would actually be donee to protect and improve the world instead of this corrupt, pocket filling of today
😮 This CEO is a car crash in slow motion 😮
The two guys at the back 😂😂😂
Wouldn’t trust any of them
Seems a very caring man to me with all his employees concerns at heart 🤔
THOMPSON LIED TO PARLIAMENT ABOUT PRORITY PARCELS NOT BEING PRIORITISED OVER LETTERS, HE MUST BE RECALLED TO PARLIAMENT
Thompson is a bare faced liar
CEO is a disgrace
We stand with the posties !
That ceo is w ⚓️
Simon Thompson needs to step down
Hahahaha, Bloody hell, have the English not woken up yet, Australia Post went through the same situation years ago and predominately became a parcel service and only delivers mail twice a week, and to save the business the government had to sell it off to private enterprise, it virtually became a courier company and letters became secondary. Do people not realize that nearly every person receives or uses an email for correspondence? Bloody ridiculous in my book, if the workers and the union want to safe there jobs they need to support the transition otherwise there are not going to be any postal worker jobs available because delivering letters is simply not profitable. Good luck England.
