  1. If I'm part of Captain Green Beard's crew, and he died, and I'm burying him, why would he put our treasure in his grave? I can understand the Captain wanting to keep some of the booty in a safe place in case the next raid fails but he and some of his crew survive. But, really, he probably figures if the next raid fails, he's not going to survive.
