Hello indie gamers, let’s take a look at all the Metroidvania games coming out this year and some coming next year.
We have a year filled with amazing metroidvanias, like Hollow Knight Silksong, you know it, I know it, we should all play it.
The sequel to the amazing Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order is coming out quite soon, on March 17, only on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series, this one is one of the first games skipping last gen.
Vernal Edge a fast paced metroidvania with high octane combate is coming out this year on every platform.
So let’s kick off the list with after Image, a Metroidvania that looks fantastic with 2D hand drawn graphics, it’s coming out this April on every platforms, let’s check it out:

Not that I’m complaining, but how many times can you do a “upcoming metroidvania games” video in one year? I don’t know who has more, you or Clemmy, but I’ll watch every single one because I’m mentally unstable 😬… most gamers will see it as a good thing that there’s practically unlimited metroidvania games to choose from, but the market is overflowing with far too many games, and splitting the fans between this many games is only going to lead to a bunch of broke developers, and we’re going to see another crash like the 80’s. I hope I’m wrong, but unfortunately, I don’t think that I am this time.
