  1. We've had a few emergencies, like the time I nearly sliced my palm off, so we teach our kids to be as calm as possible. Aimless screaming does no good. Deep breaths, logic and reason will get everyone through it.

  3. Question from an Australian paramedic directed at any American EMS staff; In the first scene, what was the role of the guy with the clipboard? Seems to be very slow at initiating patient car, and surprised they extricated her without IV access visible in the ACF. We don't have paramedics on fire trucks, and paramedics tend to work with one doing patient care, and the other a gopher.

  4. People that cause accident by texting and driving should have their license took from them and not be allowed to have a cell phone, I don't want some reckless driver texting and driving, my kids are driving I don't want this to happen again to them or someone else kids or myself or anyone else

  5. I got into a bad wreck a couple weeks ago and it still haunts me. I was driving tipsy on my way to a place where I was planning on ending my life and a deer came out in front of my car, I swerved to avoid it and sent my Kia Soul rolling down an embankment into a field. It rolled 15 feet into a tree demolishing the car and almost hitting a horse. I remember waking up to my seat belt suffocating me. I'm very short and I had slipped from my seat and was essentially being hung by my seat belt. Got the seat belt off and blacked out again. When I came back to I tried to call for help but I couldn't even call 911. I remember screaming for help I have never in my life screamed so loudly. When they found me my organs were shutting down from hypothermia and I was in shock I was hysterical when they found me. I remember the firefighters (?) Telling me to climb out the car but my body wouldn't move no matter how hard I tried. They broke my window and got me out, I was sobbing to them that I was so sorry and thanking them. They got me out and took me on a helicopter to a trauma center. I'm still dealing with the after math, I had a concussion and a bruised spine but luckily nothing more. Getting myself from my seat belt saved my life, I'm so glad I was taken to a mental hospital instead of facing jail time I'll be grateful to that cope till the day I did for not sending me to jail. My life is ruined after that crash I was homeless living out of that car and now I lost everything, I have no idea where it's impounded so I lost my ID birth certificate and social security card. I have only myself to blame for driving tipsy, I take full responsibility for what I've done. Please please please never drive under the influence and please take care of yourselves

  8. The only thing that gets me is that I was a first caller, and we always ran to the person or person's because they taught us to think that could be your loved one. My other job was a Coroner. Sometimes they walk so slow dead lice could fall. Pick up the pace, please.

  9. After a long run of watching UK based similar emergency services footage I can not get over how slow these guys work, they just meander around at 1mph, and they do not immobilise people after HEAVY wrecks like UK services do for free… just incase they make injuries worse… an USA charges extortionate amounts of 💵 💲 🤑 for this?
    mind blown
Particularly that first girl, her car got hit directly in the drivers door by a huge truck and they just take her to the ambulance on a stardard wrack bed with a small strap over her (broken?) leg…..like "does it hurt?"
No neckbrack…no spinal board… I mean wtf? She was probably in so much shock she couldn't even feel the full extent of her injuries, and she will get charged how much? Lol I can't even
Try watching a British car wreck extraction for contrast, you will see what I mean
They are pretty much jogging around loudly and articulately communicating with each other lol and … they don't charge they get payed basic low government pay, its amazing really
